I document experiences of connection and delight for playful, explorative couples and families! I specialize in documentary-style photography for couples who want to be present for their whole wedding day, so they can remember just how incredible it felt to get married. I live in Nelson, BC, and I travel wherever your love story takes you. I've been a wedding photographer for 8 years, serving hundreds of happy clients, and I have received a number of international recognitions.

Every ceremony is special, and this one is definitely an example of that.

This couple made everything about their wedding a reflection of their values. It was beautiful to behold. The groom’s entrance was signalled by drumming. A local elder gave thanks to the land and the four directions before leading the ceremony, blessing the couple in their union. To mark that union, the couple was wrapped in a blanket which held special significance to the bride’s family. To top it off, the ceremony was held exactly during golden hour—on this smoky day, the sun bathed everyone in a pinky-golden glow.

The wedding ceremony connects you and your betrothed to each other and to the divine. It’s beautiful for me to see how this can play out in so many different ways.

What are some things you’ve seen others do, or things you did for your own ceremony to make that ceremony of union meaningful?

I'm keeping these images from our honeymoon locked in my heart, where the whipping wind will urge that muscle to beat, and the glow of the sunset will warm the blood in my veins.

This sunset lasted around two hours. The AirBnB we stayed at had floor-to-ceiling windows facing the beach, so we soaked in it until the last drop dried up. FYI, the place is called "A Waterfront Jewel in the Wilderness," and it's just outside of Sooke, BC.

We had a great time on this trip, and it is obviously going to be a special one because it was our honeymoon. But we want to go on more trips! What are the places you guys hold close to your hearts?
