Those of you who have been around for a while may recall the seasonal waterfall and how tricky it's been for me to capture it these last few years.
For context, this waterfall flows out of a cave during spring melt or after heavy rains. Sometimes, it will be running for a week or so and other times for only a few days. The last 2 years, I have missed capturing it because it was so short-lived.
With all the rain we've had this past week, I was pretty sure it would be flowing good. And I was right!!!
So excited to have spent the morning here, looking for new ways to photograph this...all without getting too wet haha!
Hope you enjoy this new "view".
And a little challenge for you...seek out something you've experienced and enjoyed before and try to see it in a new way. Or better yet, take a friend and relish in their joy of taking in that new experience.
Cheers to Friday, have a beautiful weekend!

I spent a bit of time the other morning, crawling around in the forest. It had rained the night before and my jeans were soaked.
Did I care? Not at all!
I am always amazed at the wee world down near my feet...if I was standing tall, I would have missed these Canada Voilets as they are so tiny.
I'm looking forward to spending more time on my belly as other wildflowers start to bloom!

Hey! Hey!
It's been a bit!
I've been a bit low key the past few weeks.
All is good and I'm looking forward to capturing some spring.
Here's a shot from last year of some lovely Prairie Smoke.
Hope you're all good and enjoying some sunshine and warmer temps.
Cheers!

If you tell me we'll be stopping off at a waterfall, I'll do a little happy dance.
I don't know if I can pinpoint exactly what it is about them that has me going gaga...maybe it's the way they plunge over the rocks, or how the water carves beautiful designs in the walls alongside.
What ever it is, it has me enthralled!

Many times when I see Big horn Sheep, they're on the side of the road. They're there licking the salt off the tarmac or eating the gravel. They actually need salt, sodium and phosphorus to supplement their diets.
I was pretty excited when saw this guy up on a cliff...so much more natural for photos!
Look at that full curl on those horns!

Transition time in the Canadian Rockies.
The weather is a bit warmer, the lakes start to thaw and the mountains still have a coating of the fluffy white stuff.
This year's season has been mostly "winter", although I've still been able to find some signs of Spring.
Here's a recent shot of Mt. Rundle, as seen from Two Jack Lake.

A tranquil and breathtaking scene, with a hint of chill, at Bow Lake along the Icefields Parkway.
Moments like these are worth the 4 am wakeup.

What a wild weather day! About a foot of snow, highway closures, a real "cuddle under a blanket" kind of day.
The Finches (about a dozen in the backyard tree) looked about as impressed as we humans were!
