Big update time 💛

After years of stories, chaos, and camera-roll marathons as Nightengales Photography… it’s evolution season.

Say hello to Clever Creative Studios.

Nothing’s ending. Nothing’s vanishing. I’m still your photographer. Still chasing light. Still climbing on things I probably shouldn’t like a raccoon with a DSLR and zero fear.

But surgeries and recovery hit pause for a bit and gave me space to think. Turns out my creativity doesn’t just live behind a lens. It wants more room. More consistency. More late-night “what if I made this?” energy.

So instead of shrinking… I expanded. Photography is still the heartbeat but Now there’s a whole studio wrapped around it.

Same eye. Same heart. Same clever chaos.
Just a name big enough to hold it all.

Thanks for sticking with me through every chapter.

📸Just because I’m on hiatus ’til September doesn’t mean I’m not scheming.😎

Plot twist: Whimsical Halloween photos are coming — think fairy-tale magic, a dash of witchy glam, and flowers so gigantic they’ll make you feel like you wandered into Wonderland. 🌸🔮

Basically: fairy meets chic white witch, but make it Instagrammable.

💖 I’ve decided to turn my fight into fuel — not just for myself, but for others walking this road too.

Because of my own battle with cancer — and because it’s touched nearly everyone I love in one way or another — I’m choosing to channel that experience into something meaningful.

Starting (hopefully!) September 9th — once I’m cleared to work again — I’ll be offering special portrait sessions through Nightengales Photography just for cancer warriors:
💪 Whether you’re still fighting, celebrating remission, or just need to see your strength reflected back at you.

✨ Each session will include:
📸 An empowering photo shoot
👕 your choice of two “Cancer Can Suck It” T-shirts (designed by me!)
💰 And $20 from every session will be donated directly to BC Cancer

This is personal. This is purposeful. And I can’t wait to honour the warriors who inspire me every day.

Limited Gift Certificate Offer 📸💵

As many of you know, I’ve been grounded for a couple months by doctor’s orders — healing takes time, and right now, that’s my full-time job. That said, I still want to offer something special to my amazing clients and supporters while I rest up.

🎁 I’m offering $150 gift certificates for future sessions — but only 10 available in July and 10 in August! These can be used for sessions booked after September 8th, when I return to shooting at a gentler pace of 5 sessions a month as I ease back in.

This is a great chance to lock in a session for fall family photos, creative portraits, or something just for you — and it helps me keep supporting my kiddos and our household while I focus on recovery. 💕

✨ While I haven’t been as active behind the lens lately, it’s pretty amazing to see my work still earning awards like this one.

This image sparked my love of playing with natural light, and it just earned the Momentum25 Award — celebrating the shot that pushed my creative journey forward. A reminder that one frame can shift everything.

They asked for a baby photo for Grade 7 grad.
Cue the emotional spiral, the old hard drives, and a panic over lighting.
But THIS gem? Total classic. Just needed a little editing TLC. ✨
(And yes — he approved it. Because apparently embarrassing your kid is “frowned upon.”)
