I delete all of the captures I take as soon as I upload them here. I also do not transfer images from the camera to the laptop until all of the previously taken images are posted. All of these are small documents of time captured, I always am grateful for the opportunity I had to see these moments with my own eyes.

I think you can see the progression of his suspicion of me in his alert facial expressions and by the end he sorted that the camera was not going to get him. Red Dress Day, observed on May 5th, is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S).

The red dress symbolizes loss and remembrance, making absence visible and honoring the lives of those missing or murdered.

The project, was initiated by Métis artist Jaime Black in 2010.
