Nanaimo Community needs your help,

This is an exciting new initiative designed to raise awareness for two organizations in Nanaimo that are making a difference for those experiencing homelessness and/or financial or counselling support. Island Crisis Care Society and The Men’s Resource Centre need our support. Changing Perspectives Is a disposable camera photo contest designed to highlight the growing crisis facing our community and organizations on the front line making a difference in our community. By providing disposable cameras to people who are experiencing difficulty and the general public we hope to change perspectives of what many are facing. We plan to have numerous notable community leaders on as judges and volunteers to create awareness around these issues, as well as, significant print and social media coverage. The winning photos in each of the 8 categories will then be displayed in pop up art shows throughout our city in high traffic areas including several malls. This will allow the general public the opportunity to purchase photos, prints, and photo books of the winning photos and get a short bio of the artist. We are humbly asking for your assistance in either direct sponsorship, sponsorship in kind donations, or volunteer opportunities. I will be sending out sponsorship packages by the start of next week - if you would like to know more about this project please contact me. All funds raised will go directly to these two organizations.
