A little bit of macro photography to close out August. There’s something therapeutic about photographing the small details of plants and insects that play such an important role in an ecosystem.

Keep in mind most subjects are no more than 1cm in size. Most anyway.

Partial Lunar Eclipse as seen from Moose Factory.

Roughly 93 to 96 percent of the moon's surface fell into the Earth's dark shadow (the umbra) at peak, leaving a thin, bright sliver visible.

This is my take on capturing this event. Each photo is a composite of two images blended to highlight both the dark and light side of the moon. Clouds starting rolling in around 12:50am so I couldn't finish the complete phase. Regardless I got the peak coverage.

First image is a composite of the Moon in front of Pleiades Star Cluster, also know as the Seven Sisters.
