Blessed Yule all! In spirit of the longer days, the upcoming New Year, I present to you the first record I will be spinning (though, ha not really).

On - according to them - the worst format possible, is definitely on constant rotation at mine. I’m sure my neighbours fu***ng know Grandmother at this point (I’m not sorry). All doom and gloom but it’s haunting, beautiful, and Kaylie’s vocals against the warm abrasive guitars, the cold hallow drums, and the sometimes dissonant autoharp is just the perfect marriage. It’s the perfect balance of opposites.

I think I’ve listened to this album so many times that I know the lyrics at this point. The harmonies are so smooth and bewitching - the amount of times I’ve had shivers run down my spine? Christ it’s just- it’s beautiful. I can’t wait for them to put out more music.
