Retrospective 2024-2025: The Edification of Light ✨
A visual journey through the world's most light-polluted megacities: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Vancouver, San Francisco.
My technique combines optical play and digital post-production: using movement to capture the building's light emissions in a fixed focal plane, revealing invisible luminous fluxes. The night sky is then replaced with a colored photograph, transforming architecture into spectral entities—a reality invisible to the naked eye.
This body of work was presented during my recent residency at et le CALQ
2024-2025년 작업 회고: 빛의 건축 ✨
세계에서 가장 빛 공해가 심한 대도시들의 시각적 여정: 아부다비, 두바이, 라스베이거스, 로스앤젤레스, 밴쿠버, 샌프란시스코.
광학적 기법과 디지털 후반작업을 결합하여 고정된 초점면에서 건축물의 빛 방출을 포착하고 육안으로 보이지 않는 광선의 흐름을 드러냅니다. 야경은 컬러 사진으로 대체되어 건축물을 유령 같은 존재로 변환시킵니다.
이 작업은 최근 국립현대미술관 고양 레지던시에서 발표되었습니다.
