Yesterday, Lightroom reminded me who’s in charge.

One bug, one update, one realization: my Mac was quite literally living in the past🫠

I chose the chaos of jailbreaking it instead of buying a new laptop, and it worked… for two hours. Then came the blue screen of death, so yes, at the end of the day, I still need a new one (but at least I tried and learned something along the way!)

Somewhere in that brief window, this image happened. A glitch, an accident, a double exposure I never asked for.

Almost as if my Mac was sending me a small reminder that even when things break, they can still leave something unexpected and beautiful behind.

I don’t usually blend my personal life with my professional space here. This page is mostly about the work, the process, the in-between moments behind the lens.

But some people are part of the story whether they’re in the frame or not.

He’s been the one reminding me I’m capable when I doubt it, pushing me (lovingly, but firmly) to stop treating photography like a “someday” dream and start treating it like the future I actually want. The one who tells me to go for it and actually means it.

So this is one of those rare moments where life behind the camera deserves just as much credit as what ends up in front of it🤍

THE LADYBUG🐞

This past Wednesday, I spent the morning as a one-day student at CFP Lachine (10/10 recommend if you’re considering their photography program). On my way back home, I stumbled upon this man playing a mesmerizing instrument atop the escalators at Montmorency. After talking with him, I learned it’s called a kora, a West African instrument that he crafted himself. Jeremy and his kora, or Ladybug as he calls it, carries so much talent and gentleness. A beautiful soul with a beautiful sound. I hope the metro brings our paths together again.
