☁ All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.

I wanted to share our newest print collection that was inspired by dreaming of the New Year and all it holds. As a creator and artist, I am oftentimes tempted to hold back on my dreams because I feel like it's better to play it safe. The fear of creating and failing feels big. That was the inspiration for this collection, I wanted to create a collection that inspired others to not let fear hold them back and to dream big dreams over 2024!

This print collection was all about going for it and surrounding yourself and your space with beautiful imagery that inspires you to take the leap, go for the big dream and let go of the fear of failure.

I had the privilege of working with artists from all around North America and a special team here in Montreal. We also had the amazing gift to work with the talented photographer .photo who did an exclusive photography collection for us as she travelled the world this past year.

I hope you'll take a look and maybe bring some of this beauty home to your own walls.

Escape to otherworldly places with our freshest collection, an ode to ethereal vistas both real and imagined. Inspired by Impressionist landscapes and classic photography, this selection of prints and wallpapers is an invitation to dream. So unwind, breathe deep — there’s nothing on your to-do l...

⛷️ Is it weird to change your art according to the season? I feel like it's something I do with certain parts of my home to help me feel connected with what is happening around me. This new collection with Opposite Wall was my take on celebrating the upcoming months, setting it apart from the typical Christmas and holiday themes. It's all about capturing the heart of the changing seasons from Fall to Winter while emphasizing the importance of ritual and warmth in embracing the winter season.I wanted our team to go beyond mere visual aesthetics and tap into the deep emotional connection people have with winter, particularly by invoking nostalgia--- using vintage/retro colours and patterns to draw on shared memories of winters past. For me, nostalgia has the power to create a profound sense of comfort in the midst of change.

As someone from the South, facing the winter in Montreal can be challenging, but I hope that our artworks' warm colours and cozy imagery will help you celebrate the spirit of the season and not just survive it!

📸 'Perfection is the enemy of progress' --- Winston Churchill
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Creating can oftentimes come with the heavy burden of perfectionism. The fear of failure and the pursuit of perfection can cause us slow to a halt and impede our ability to do something great.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Good doesn't have to be perfect and I've found as a Creative Director, producer, photographer... Mom... that perfection doesn't serve us at all! Perfection is never satisfied and it doesn't give a damn if we've eaten or slept, or if we love ourselves. It is a cruel master who is always asking for more and whose motto is 'it's never good enough.'
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instead, in my career, I've learned that real success is finding a balance in growth and focusing on incremental improvements. Shifting my focus to striving for better--- not best, good not perfect and finding joy in flawed beauty. Besides, isn't it more human to be perfectly imperfect?

This gorgeous set of imperfect photos is from a recent photoshoot in Dubai at one of properties.

🏔"I prefer winter and Fall when you feel the bone structure of the landscape... Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show. "--Andrew Wyeth
The American painter Andrew Wyeth has long been a favourite artist of mine-- his paintings of haunting landscapes, lonely interiors and resonating stillness have always drawn me in. His quote above about winter is something that I come back to year after year living in Canada when Winter has us in its long grip. Specifically, it's the last part of the sentence and the sense of expectant waiting and an unfolding story, that helps me find the courage to continue through the cold days and nights here in Quebec. The comforting knowledge that I'm really just in a season of quiet growth and that Spring is just around the corner.

So, here is a cheers to Fridays, the waiting winter and the coming Spring. It's been a long week and I think that a simple meal and a good glass of wine are just the things for a snowy Montreal night.

Photos from a story all about cheese + honey pairings.

📃 “What you spend years creating, can be destroyed overnight—Create anyways” that quote encapsulates the fear and the joy that I feel in being creative. Creation of any kind requires vulnerability, courage and an acknowledgment of the impermanence of life. The humble acceptance of our human-ness and the fleeting nature of what we create.

The fear of that transience and the obliteration or irrelevancy of what we create can paralyze us into doing nothing. I want to encourage you and by proxy myself— to CREATE anyway.

The world will keep spinning, but the beauty of this moment still matters.

🍸A good cocktail will cure just about anything— even when some weeks every day feels like a Monday.

This is from a photo shoot that I did last year for a local gin company and I loved the way we mirrored the herbaceous notes in the gin with the overtop herbal garnish.

Tip of the day: Take some time off tonight and treat yourself. Here is a cheers to a midweek gin + tonic, chocolate chip cookie treat or hot bubble bath moment. You deserve it!

☕️ "You got this" is a phrase I use every day, both for myself and for those that I lead. For me, it instills a sense of confidence, that even if it seems challenging, somewhere inside me I have the tools necessary to get the job done.

When I have someone on my team who feels like they are unsure, the first thing I do is tell them "You got this" and that's because they do. The fact is, even if they are not 100% confident-- I know they will figure it out, Google it, watch a video, become inspired, dig deep-- they will do it if they believe you believe in them.

This image comes from a recent shoot we did in Philadelphia using the new creative vision I built for Sonder (Travel photography that is emotionally driven vs. Real estate photography = informationally driven) where my Associate Producer went solo to produce it.

I was surprised by the joy I felt seeing her grow and knowing that she executed, and produced this imagery on her own using my creative vision for our photography. I gave her the vision and told her "You got this"... and she did.

Bottom line: Maybe life feels overwhelming today and everything feels like a challenge, but just say to yourself (even at a whisper) 'I got this' and you will.

🪑The poetry of things— it is often those first gilded lines of light that draw me in when I’m shooting interiors. The simple planes of furniture, the graceful arc of a lamp. They aren’t living things and yet they hold the story of something.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s like looking out of the corner of your eye— there, but not there. Even though we aren’t present they still hold the reverberating memory of us. The rounded, soft edges speaking of our repeated touch, the lingering scent of a perfume caught in the folds of fabric— the inanimate creating ghostly animations of life. Memory trapped in the lines of the familiar.

This photo is from a new creative vision I’ve been building with the team at Sonder. It’s captured at our property in Barcelona.
