One thing we always tell our couples is this:

Others give you an entire story to photograph.

Château de Ferrières in France is one of those rare venues where every part of the space creates a completely different atmosphere for photos.

As a photographer, that kind of versatility matters more than most couples realize.

Happy Valentine’s Day 🤍

We’ve been wanting to photograph a Valentine’s-inspired bridal editorial for over a year now — something editorial, romantic, and layered with old-world warmth.

When Nadine of shared her vision for this design, we immediately knew it was the perfect opportunity to bring that idea to life.

Deep red linens, candlelight, textured lace details… but what made it special wasn’t just the styling.

It was the quiet intimacy between them.

As photographers, our role is never to overpower a beautifully designed space. It’s to step in gently, guide when needed, and then step back so the emotion can unfold naturally.

T&N’s first look at their venue might be one of my favorite moments from their wedding day.

There’s something so pure about watching couples see their venue for the first time together on their wedding day - no guests, no chaos, just the two of them taking in the room realizing that everything they’ve been dreaming about, planning, and stressing over is actually real. All those late-night group chats, the Pinterest boards, the vendor calls - it’s all right here, waiting for them.

We always suggest doing a hall reveal before guests arrive. Not just for the photos (though these reactions are priceless), but because this moment? It’s theirs. Just the two of them, taking in the space where months of planning transformed into their actual wedding day and these reactions? You can’t recreate them. The hand squeeze. The quiet “oh my god.” The way they look at each other instead of the room.

This is the moment the wedding becomes real.
Tatiana and Nicolas took it all in - the flowers, the lighting, every detail they’d dreamed about - and you could see it click. This is ours. This is us. This is happening.

Over the years, we’ve learned something that really matters on a wedding day.

When the photo and film team already know each other well, everything just feels easier.

Because we’ve worked side by side for so long, we don’t have to think about where the other will stand. We don’t have to talk through every move. We just know. When your photographer and videography truly understand each other’s style - and actually enjoy working side by side - it changes everything.

While one of us is focused on a still frame, the other is capturing the movement.

While one steps in, the other naturally steps back.

There’s no repeating moments.

No interrupting what’s already happening.

No extra pressure on you to “do it again.” Multiple times.

And that gives you something really important — time.
