Feeling refreshed after a surprise trip to Spain with my guy. I still can’t believe I pulled off this surprise. I knew if I suggested the trip he’d say we better not. Because like you’re probably right however…..did we ever need that. I don’t think I’ve slept that good in like 5 years. It was just what we needed to disconnect and reconnect. It’s hard parenting a toddler and still having time for your relationship. I felt guilty not taking Sloane but once we got there I didn’t feel so bad.

It was nice to be able to just spend time together and go with the flow. I only had the first two nights booked so we’d book on the fly based on where we’d end up driving the car. That’s my favourite way to travel but you certainly can’t with kiddos in tow. It was fun to get to turn down our parent brains. It was such a brain break to not always be planing, checking in, packing snacks, and soothing tantrums etc etc etc etc.

I feel completely rejuvenated. Im so grateful and thankful to be able to do this. I’m so forever grateful for all the people in our life who helped back this happen. Thanks for helping watch our babe, animals, house etc. We are back home with a full battery and belies full of tomatoes, burrata, baguettes, cortados and w**e ❤️❤️❤️
