Here are some of my favourite photos from this trip so far. I've taken thousands! When I return to Montreal I'll have to do an epic sorting, an archeology of the soul, to see what narratives emerge and which would like to be part of the Entre Mundos exhibit.

Thanks for following along on this journey!

Settling in to life in Montevideo. Have decided to rest for the first couple of weeks before diving into Entre Mundos. Feels like a retreat of sorts. Just began taking photos again after a long hiatus. Feels good to have that part of me come back to life. πŸ™β€βœ¨

Big news!! I just received my first Canada Council for the Arts | Conseil des arts du Canada grant for my project Entre Mundos (Between Worlds)! πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸŽ†

It’s an interdisciplinary exploration of the immigrant experience. I’ll be going to South America for the next 3.5 months to interview my family on their experiences living under dictatorship, going into exile, immigrating to Canada then returning to South America.

I’ll be taking photos and writing songs throughout then returning to Montreal to exhibit everything! Stay tuned for updates!

Yesterday I did a big thing! I submitted my first grant application for a personal creative project in 12 years!! πŸŽ‰

I had to fight for months through so much procrastination and perfectionism, all these stories of not being good enough reared their heads. Ugh! But I friggin did it!! I kept a promise to myself and I got it DONE!

The grant is for my project Entre Mundos (Between Worlds), an interdisciplinary exploration of dictatorship, exile and immigration. Wish me luck! Here's a sample of the photos I've taken so far!
