Other than sharing information and updates about the situation in Venezuela, I’ve stayed mostly quiet here since June 24. My mind has been there, where my mother and grandmother are, in one of the cities hit by the earthquakes. They’re alive and unharmed, and I haven’t stopped feeling the weight of how lucky that makes me, when so many families are grieving.

Sharing my usual photography these past days didn’t feel right. I also needed time to grieve the massive loss. There are no words to explain the amount of devastation.

Life goes on, and the people I love would want me to keep going. So I’m stepping back into things gently, carrying Venezuela with me as I do. I’ll also continue to share information, updates, and verified donation options for anyone who wants to contribute to the cause.

Swipe for ways to help. And please, be smart about giving. Research any organization before you send money, and make sure it’s actually reaching people on the ground. Not every campaign is what it claims to be.
