✨urban development✨

I’ve been working on teeny tiny animations with long a** hours of post production - leave it to breathe then come back to it for multiple hours of edit.
Usually I love when there is a build up and everything gets crowded with new unexpected and unnecessary information - so lately I use low res photos or short videos, and I create something new with 🤓
Here the first one I post in 2026.🌱

The original content for this animation is a picture I took with my iPhone XR when I was in Paris last year.
I used to create the different frames, assembled them in premiere pro, then spiced it up with some sound effects from audio library.

I don’t know why I’m doing it but I’m having fun- enjoy ❤️‍🔥

▪️Exploration with Shirley Gibbs .awa and Yas .system

Last fall, we created this.
Model and ideation .awa
Hair design .system

I had “carte blanche” for editing so I had fun with it. In love with the concept of “low-key sci-fi”, I always try to bring up this atmosphere within my works. -Is it real? It looks real… - it definitely reminds me of the concept of “uncanny valley” we are all experiencing in the era of AI.
I spent a lot of time in post, thinking of the concept Shirley came to me with. Editing - scrap editing - doing it again
and that’s where I landed.

▪️“DrunkPink” (working title) by Jontae McCrory
during SPARK series at
📍Montreal 2025

DrunkPink is an interdisciplinary choreographic duet exploring intersections between ecological systems, intergenerational adaptation, and post-colonial imaginaries. Inspired by Stanislavski’s Three Circles of Attention and Klien & Valk’s Choreography as an Aesthetics of Change, the work uses systems theory and ecological philosophy to frame adaptation as both aesthetic and transformative.
Through improvisational structures such as Breath and Memory Mapping, Mutuality Loops, and Environmental Improvisation, performers investigate resilience, interdependence, and the transmutation of ecological and psychological trauma. Interactive lighting, live sound, and analog materials—sand, water, and plants—create real-time feedback loops between body and environment, visualizing disruption, regeneration, and interconnectedness. By blending systems-based choreography, ecological storytelling, and experimental technology, DrunkPink positions dance as a catalyst for cultural, emotional, and environmental transformation. The project invites audiences to engage with urgent ecological and post-colonial dialogues through an immersive, interdisciplinary artistic experience.

▪️“A Gun Made Out of Ducks” by Michael Martini
during SPARK series at
📍Montreal 2025

Flamboyant and destabilizing, “A Gun Made Out of Ducks” is a performance as well as a ritual for the artist. Convinced he was cursed five or so years ago, the performance positions “fate” or “destiny” as a villainous entity rather than anything to be trusted. The performance becomes one of egging fate on, of playing with the power of submissiveness to Fate’s destructive tendencies. The performance begins with the introduction of a series of actual objects brought from the artist’s life- sentimental or very useful- and the announcement that one of the objects will have to be destroyed by the end of the performance whether he likes it or not. Now comes a plunge into a strange world: one of decoys and dress-up, vitriolic rants, and apocalyptic Eurotrash, in a work that is both interdisciplinary and utterly undisciplined.

Projet Pilote is a choreographic solo that explores the symbolism of paper planes. Objects that evoke play become silent witnesses to a passage, an inner construction, a subtle link between the momentum of childhood and the maturity of the adult body. Balance, takeoff, fall, restart. The choreographic writing emerges from the manipulation of these paper birds. With each gesture, the body adapts, transforms – guided at times by the object, at times by emotion. More than just a child’s game, Projet Pilote questions the traces left by our first explorations: those foundational gestures that, invisibly, still inhabit us and shape our own path toward…
