🍂 Fall photos are coming! 🍂

Fall photoshoots will officially start September 19th and run through the season — basically until the leaves stop cooperating, probably sometime in late October!

I'm limiting the number of sessions I take this year so I have some flexibility to move things around when Mother Nature inevitably decides not to cooperate.

If you've been thinking about getting some updated fall photos of your pets (and, yes, of course you can hop in a few photos with your pets too!), now's the time to grab a spot before they fill up!

Well, the mornings and evenings are starting to get that familiar chill, and I’m noticing a few leaves changing here and there… which can only mean one thing:

Fall photo season is fast approaching! 🍂

A few of you have already messaged asking about spots, and yes — I’m absolutely doing Fall photoshoots again this year!

I’m just waiting for Mother Nature to give me a better idea of when the colours are going to be at their best before I open bookings. Or whenever I can get my hands on some straw bales, mums and pumpkins — whichever comes first. 😜

My best guess is mid-September through mid-October, but I’ll have a better idea once we get a little further into the season.

There will be a more “official” post when I’m ready to open bookings, but until then, here are a few from last year to pique your interest. 😉

And if you’ve been meaning to get some updated photos of your dog, Fall is a pretty good excuse to finally do it. 🍁

I just loved the visit I had with Ms. Sadie who got some beautiful Summer evening photos done. This Summer has been amazing for sunsets, so if you love this aesthetic, shoot me a message and we can make it happen. (I'm definitely realizing that I want to try to wrangle my pack for a sunset shoot soon as well :P)

I am SO happy with how this hybrid headshot/pet session turned out.

Maika reached out because she needed a mix of professional headshots and photos that showcased the partnership she has with Lalita. It was a little different from my usual sessions, and I was all for it.

One thing I really loved about this shoot was how easy it felt. We weren't chasing perfectly posed photos—we just spent some time together, let things happen naturally, and captured the moments as they came. I honestly think that's why these turned out the way they did.

I love when photos actually feel like the people (and dogs!) in them, and I think these really capture both Maika's personality and the connection she has with Lalita.

I'm really proud of this set. ❤️

Nova got a big girl gift today! She's loving her 5M DLDogs tunnel from FlatOut Dogs :D I can't tell which is prettier --- her or her tunnel :)

Photo Previews are ready! (Link at the bottom after my long-winded explanation.)

For the first time, I've gone ahead and organized photos by run, you can navigate through the sets along the top of the screen (the same way you would navigate from the different days in previous trials) I'm just hoping this makes it easier to find your pups. For (I think) the first time, there were a few runs that I missed in their entirety (especially on Saturday AM because I was having an AWFUL time working with my autofocus etc.) If I missed your run, I'm very sorry, but I'm quite certain that every dog got a good number of shots throughout the weekend.

In the interest of time, these photos are largely directly out of camera. If you see a photo in this album, it means I've looked at it and I'm at least 95% certain it can be made into a pretty lovely image. The previews are meant to give you an idea of the image; when ordered, I will go in an colour correct, remove distractions (wherever possible) sharpen the subject(s) etc. If you love a photo but hate that the colours are muted (or so vibrant they hurt your eyes) just know that I will be re-doing any edits to make any editing more "catered" to that photo.

The cost is $10 per photo and a "bundle deal" of 5 photos for $40 (yes, this stacks so "10/$80" etc.)

Pixieset allows you to make a Favourite list; a lot of people Favourite anything with them/their dog and shortlist from there. To order: submit your finalized favourite list through the website, or send me a message through FB, or shoot me an email ([email protected]) with the photo number(s) that you want. I'll respond with an anticipated ETA for your edited photos.)

Here's a derpy update that PROBABLY belongs on my personal page rather than my business page, but...

I'd like everyone to picture the look on my face when I realized that I'd spent the *entire* day going through Saturday's UKI photos while my editing program froze for exactly three seconds every single time I moved to the next photo and every time I deleted one...
..and it wasn't until 11:30 PM that my inner IT Technician finally whispered, "Have you tried restarting the computer?"

Now that I'm moving faster than a school computer in the early '90's, UKI photos should be ready tonight!

More Cell Phone photos of unedited photos on a computer screen, because my refusal to take the time to screenshot is basically a personality quirk by now...

Soooooo... to anyone who was at the Last Chance UKI trial this weekend and listened to me whine about how terribly I thought I was doing with the photos on Saturday morning... You'll never believe it... but APPARENTLY *I* was overreacting!?! 🤯🤥🤯

Done sifting through Saturday's photos, sifting through Sunday's now, then some blanket edits. With any luck (and a little unhealthy fixation) I'm hoping to have the album up later tonight or early tomorrow.

And without further ado: the obligatory cell phone photo of unedited photos on my computer screen! These are some of the "awful" ones from Saturday 🥴😜🥴

Benny came in for his first photoshoot! He was a little stressed in the studio, so we gave him a little bit of a hybrid shoot. This kind of handsome photographs well everywhere :)
