3:48pm - TORNADO REPORTED 🚨

A storm chaser has reported that a tornado has touched down on the storm east of Aubigny! This storm is tracking to the north.

If you are in the path of this storm, SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY!!!

I don’t create timelapses very often, and you’ll notice a few little blips along the way, but I wanted to try to share the beauty of these incredible storm structures at sunset.

This supercell was captured near Almeda, Saskatchewan on June 6. Watching these storms evolve across the prairie is something I’ll never get tired of. Today has the potential to be another chase day. Any guesses on whether I’ll make it out there or not? It’s my birthday weekend, there’s a reunion on the schedule, and I’ve got company arriving soon... lol. What would you do?

This storm was absolutely gorgeous.

More stories and photos to come, but for now it’s time for bed.

A little hodgepodge from yesterday’s storm chase in Saskatchewan. 🌩️📸

No tornado for me this time, but Saskatchewan definitely put on a show. From a stunning supercell to an incredible sunset, there was more than enough to make the miles worthwhile.

A huge thank you to my friend for coming along for the adventure. She survived a full day of storm chasing, so naturally I’ve kidnapped her for another round today. 😆

And a big thank you to my sister for letting us crash in Melita last night so we could stay closer to today’s storms. It definitely beats driving all the way home and back again!

For now, these are just cell phone photos and videos while I sort through everything from my camera. Stay tuned… and maybe today will finally be the day I see my first tornado.

Midnight skies, morning post. 🌌✨

These images were captured around midnight near Minnedosa. The aurora put on a subtle but beautiful display, and in the third photo, two planets are reflected in the water with a faint glow of aurora peeking through the eastern clouds.

Now it’s time to trade the stars for storm clouds—getting ready for chase day and hoping for an exciting day on the Prairies. ⛈️

Storm chase attempt: June 2 🌩️

This was as close as I got last Tuesday. Off to the left of the elevator, I spotted some dirt kicking up and what looked like a bit of rotation, but that was the most excitement of the day.

No tornadoes for me this time, but every chase is an adventure and a chance to learn a little more about the sky.

This weekend’s forecast looks much more promising, so I’ll be out there again with my camera, hoping to finally witness and photograph my first tornado. Preferably one that stays over open fields and causes no damage or injuries—just enough to remind us how incredible nature can be.

Until then, here’s a look at the storm that almost was. 🌪️📸 (video in comments)

This has to be one of my favourite canvas orders ever!

My client’s dog was having the time of its life launching off the dock at sunset, and we turned the entire jump into a five-panel canvas set. How fun is that?

It’s heading to their cabin in Riding Mountain National Park, and I can’t wait for it to be hanging on the wall where the memory was made.

Big thanks to Rob in Brandon for always making my work look amazing!

Sunday was a pretty amazing day. We spotted over 12 bears and enjoyed so many incredible wildlife moments, but this little cub stole my heart. 🐻❤️

This wee one was way up in a tree—so high that I had to split the climb-down video into two parts! After carefully making its way back to the ground, it let out a few cries for mom, who was waiting nearby.

I’ve included 3 photos and 3 videos so you can follow the whole adventure from treetop to reunion. Nature never disappoints. 🥰

Can someone explain how this giant fluffball is defying physics? 🤔🐻

There’s something about abandoned places that makes you slow down and wonder about the stories they could tell.

These old homes and buildings from my trip to Alberta may be weathered and quiet now, but they still carry so much character and history across the prairie landscape. I couldn’t resist stopping for a few photos along the way.

Which one would you explore first?
