Martha’s branding session had a little bit of everything: voiceover work, bold colour, wardrobe changes, a serious healthcare headshot and, unexpectedly, stuffed animals!

The goal was to create images that felt playful, polished and completely like her. Not a different version of Martha. Just a professional, confident version of the person already there.

Let me tell you about my friend, Karen Irwin-Dennis

I've known Karen for more than 40 years. She's one of those warm, funny, quietly nurturing people who instantly puts you at ease. The kind of person who doesn't seek the spotlight, but absolutely deserves it.

Karen is the owner of Johnny Cakes Bakery, a home baking business named in honour of her son Johnny, whom she lost in 2006 after a six-year battle with brain cancer. In her own words, Karen says "Not a day goes by that I don't carry him with me", and you can feel that love woven through everything she creates.

One of my favourite moments from our session wasn't even a photograph. It was a framed display hanging in her kitchen containing the original be**er from her first KitchenAid mixer, gifted to her by her daughter. It even had a plaque marking its years of service. Such a simple thing, but it told me everything I needed to know about the love, family, and memories that live at the heart of this business.

You can see the heart she has invested in every cookie, every customer, and every fundraiser.

And speaking of cookies...

Karen sent me home with what I think was a toffee chip shortbread cookie. I am not exaggerating when I say it may have been one of the best cookies I have ever eaten.

Apparently baking really is her love language.

I first met Julie Rock years ago, when she first moved to Milton. Both being photographers in the same small town, our paths crossed often. She was always a supportive and positive light in what can sometimes be an industry that steers away from getting cozy with the competition.

I won’t be the one to tell Julie’s story, because you are going to have to wait for that (upcoming book – April 2026!) but I will say that when she recently reached out to chat about collaborating on her Brand Photography for all her upcoming projects, it was a resounding “Hell Yes!” from me. Actually, if you know me at all, you know it was a “F*ck yes!”, but that is another story!

Julie and I ROCKED her Branding session at Pearl Street Studios in Burlington(this may just be my new favourite GTA photography studio); it was the perfect space to create images to tell Julie’s story. We laughed (and worked) our butts off; it got silly, it got real, it got a bit emotional. This was authentic brand photography in action!

Stay tuned as Julie launches into her career as an Inspirational Speaker. But really, really stay tuned for her April 2026 book launch of her book Rock Solid. I cannot wait to get my hands on this book – what a story!

Julie is a true warrior and if you don’t know her story, you soon will! I spent a bit of time with Julie this week at Industry Wig Co as she prepared to Rock the stage speaking at The Enza Severino Foundation’s annual charity gala. (Check out Julie's groovy threads for this year's 70's theme!)
I was completely blown away by the experience at Industry Wig Co! Sara and Aja are simply the best!

Better late posting than never! Excited to finally share this executive branding session with Mitchell Creasey “The President’s Coach”!

A year ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Mitch—an award-winning executive coach, keynote speaker, and trusted voice on leadership and stress management.

But this was not our first collaboration! Working with Mitch sparked my own personal breakthrough. Thanks to Mitch's insight, I finally jumped right into and finished writing the children's book I've been dreaming about for years!(More updates on that VERY soon!)

Here's a little Brand shoot magic with two absolute forces of nature!

Bailey and Fede aren’t just building a brand — they’re building a movement.
Between deep laughs, honest moments, and some seriously fire shots, this branding session was the perfect mix of sexy, playful, and real.

Bailey is a love + leadership mentor, guiding women into their next era — full of bold choices, raw truth, and legendary love. Together with Fede, they’ve launched The Era Initiative and their podcast The Unscripted Era — inviting people to drop the script and live their legacy, their way.

I don’t know exactly what’s next for these two powerhouses, but I know this: it’s unwritten, unscripted, and 100% going to be epic.

It's still soooo hard to believe it! After years of photographing the amazing projects by Amanda at .m.interior_styling , it was finally my turn to make a little magic happen in my own home! We knew that when the time came, I would be calling on my long time friend and client, Amanda MacLeod. Having been in countless beautiful projects designed by Amanda, the decision was an easy one. Her team was nothing short of phenomenal. The first day that I met Ross of , I knew immediately that he was the man for the job. He and Francesco of worked so hard to make my renovation dreams come true. We began demo in March and the team got to work in April. On July 9th, we were completely done, a few days earlier than we expected.

We expected it to be terribly difficult to live in the house during a renovation of this scope, but with 2 big dogs, a rental seemed impossible. It had a few challenging moments (I'm talking to you, laundry room kitchen) but this team very much became a part of the family and I do say, we missed them when they were gone!

A million thank-yous to this incredible team, I cannot thank you enough - a truly life changing renovation! I still feel a little bit surprised every time I walk into this beautiful space!
