I love when clients start by telling me they have no idea how to act in front of the camera… and then proceed to absolutely nail it 😂

This family was so much fun to photograph. We had a stunning evening at Crescent beach and somehow survived the mosquitoes that have been LOVING this humid summer.

Once upon a time, our cottage weekends were all about drinking, late nights and whatever antics we could come up with. Now the dock is covered in kids, toys, pacifiers and freezies. It’s pretty wild to look around and realize how much has changed over the years. Same cottage, same friendships, just a few more little people in the mix❤️

Every year I forget how quickly we start losing daylight once August rolls around.

The silver lining is that we’re heading into some of the nicest evenings of the year. August, September, and early October are always my favourite months for sessions!

I’ve been a little quiet on here the last few days.

A couple of weeks ago, my girls, Birdie and Hennessy, were attacked by two dogs. It was a terrifying experience, and I’ve spent a lot of time trying to process what happened.

I ended up writing a blog post about the experience because I needed to get it out of my head. Writing it down felt like a way to process everything instead of replaying that horrifying moment over and over again.

I’m so grateful my girls are healing and still their sweet little selves. I’m slowly finding my way back into my normal routine and I’m reminded every day how lucky I am to have them by my side ❤️

One of my favourite things about photographing dogs is getting to see their personalities, and Bo definitely had me smiling all evening. He carried his little baby (his teddy 🧸) around for almost the entire session, proudly bringing it along everywhere we went. It was the sweetest thing 🥹

But what stood out most was the connection between these two. The little glances, the big smiles and the way Bo was always happiest close to Kate made it so easy to capture genuine moments together ❤️

Can we all take a moment to appreciate these gorgeous Welsh Spaniel puppies?🥹🐾

They were full of energy, curiosity and just the right amount of puppy chaos to keep me laughing throughout the session. I love photographing puppies because every moment is genuine. You never know what's going to happen next and that's what makes it so fun!

It's such a privilege to capture this stage of their lives. They grow up so quickly, and these playful, goofy moments become memories before you know it.

When my sister asked me to photograph her wedding, I was equal parts excited and terrified. Being trusted to capture one of the most important days of her life felt incredibly special and if I'm honest, the pressure was very real (this would be my first ever wedding!)

Thankfully, everything unfolded perfectly. A beautiful evening filled with so much love, laughter, happy tears and the people who matter most. I got to witness and document the beginning of a new chapter for two amazing humans and I'm so grateful I got to be part of it.

Also, while the day was technically about the bride and groom, their dog Koda made a very strong case for being the main character of the ceremony 🐾

Congratulations to the newlyweds. What an evening to remember.🩷
