A quick update for current & upcoming clients:

INVOICES:
With the active wildfire situation continuing to change around the Nicola Valley and throughout the Southern Interior, e-transfer is preferred for all outstanding invoices at this time — even if your invoice lists cheque as a payment option.

If you currently have an outstanding invoice, please arrange payment as soon as possible.

UPCOMING CLIENTS:
B.C.P.hoto remains closed for vacation at this time. With wildfire conditions and evacuation alerts continuing to change, I will be in touch directly with upcoming clients regarding scheduled sessions as needed.

All business correspondence and tasks will be addressed once the office reopens.

I’m officially shutting down the office for some much-needed summer vacation! ☀️ Be sure to keep your eyes peeled because once I’m back, I’ll be sharing some of my favourite images from the week. 🌿 Vacation Mode: ON! 🌿

After a busy few months and a whole lot of editing, I’m officially shutting down the office for a much-needed vacation! ☀️

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to all of my amazing clients and supporters. This spring and summer have been incredibly full of photography adventures, and I’m so grateful you’ve trusted B.C.P.hoto to capture so many special moments.

Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be taking some time to unplug and recharge, so replies to emails and messages may be a little slower than usual.

But don’t go too far… 👀 Once I’m back, I’ll be sharing some of my favourite images from recent sessions and events. I can’t wait to relive some of these incredible moments with you!

One of my favourite questions is, “Why should I hire a professional photographer?”

The answer is often in the little things most people never notice.

Take this photo, for example. The kid and calf were posed nicely, but there was a show curtain hanging in the background that wasn’t quite long enough. It’s a small distraction, but once you notice it, you can’t unsee it.

So during post-production, I simply extended the curtain to create a cleaner, more polished image.

Professional photography isn’t just about pressing the shutter. It’s about knowing what to look for before, during, and after the photo is taken. Those little finishing touches are part of what transforms a great photo into a finished image.

An unexpected personal emergency delayed my editing schedule by a few days after I returned home from the show.
