I went through many of my past wedding galleries yesterday searching for the frames that stood out to me- the ones that I remembered capturing long after the weddings ended. These are 15 frames that I found and I want to tell you about them.

1 - Trenna and Aaron finishing their first dance- celebrating that all the formalities of the day are finished and it’s time to fully celebrate with their people

2- Lindsay’s grandma crying when she sees her as a bride for the first time

3- lifejackets hanging outside the getting ready cabins at a lakeside wedding, marking a weekend full of family time leading up to the big day

4- Kurt’s mom greeting and seating guests before the ceremony begins

5- Charlie’s dad carrying all the table bouquets that someone must have forgotten to bring in

6- Trenna’s bridesmaids all sneaking a peak out the tiny cabin window at the first look

7- Mackenzie’s grandma bright and early at the ceremony laughing with guests

8- Melissa and Mike’s twin boys and some of their grandparents, showcasing their reactions when they see them in their suits for the first time

9- Austin’s dad tying everyone’s ties

10- Charlie’s best friend on FaceTime at the reception, tearing up at the speeches because she couldn’t be in attendance

11- Chad, the groom’s mom, putting final touches on her makeup as he watches from the hallway

12- Trenna’s mom and sisters reaction to their daughter/sister’s wedding vows

13- Taylor and Owen’s guests bundle up to watch a fall evening first dance under the gazebo

14- a grandma holding hands with a grand baby before the ceremony starts

15- Dennis, the groom, holding his sons hand as they exit family photos

Now, what do all these frames have in common? They are the small moments in between the big ones. They are the moments that, if you aren’t paying close attention, you’ll miss. They are the moments that the couple would likely never remember, or have seen, if not for me capturing them. They are my favourite frames of the day. They are the frames that tell the story. 🫶🏽

A slow evening spent with Morgan and Lucas- capturing photos of them at their place and exploring the grids we all call home. These pair always keep me laughing and I’m grateful for their company.

A few favourite frames from day one of sunflower minis last weekend. ❤️ missing a lot of families here, as I’m only sharing frames from families who have come previous years and don’t mind me sharing on socials!

There are reasons I love full sessions vs minis and last night with these two was a perfect reminder of why- we have more time to be creative, we can slow down and get to know one another, you have so much more time to get comfy and silly in front of the camera, AND I can take you to multiple cool spots. 🤎
