GUYS….It’s been a looooooooooong August 🌺 ✨

It’s been a long August filled with weddings, adventures, wedding associate shooting, second shooting, new faces, new places and SO many moments that reminded me why I love this job. And honestly…I’m ready for more. 🥂

Back in January I had the most pleasure attending a creative styled session Meo in Vancouver’s beautiful Chinatown and if you know Meo, you know this space is anything but ordinary. With its moody lighting, plush pinks and reds, vintage textures, dark wood, retro details and that dreamy ’70s Hong Kong nightlife-inspired atmosphere, it feels like stepping into another era. A little romantic, a little rebellious, a little unexpected…basically the perfect playground for creative wedding photography. ✨

This is the kind of wedding photography I want more of: editorial, romantic, fashion-forward, fun and completely unafraid to break from the traditional. Give me the city, an incredible space, a couple who wants to have fun and a little adventure… and let’s create something unforgettable.

💫There’s a certain kind of glow that shows up on a wedding day… and it’s not just makeup or perfect lighting (though that definitely helps).

It’s the deep breath before walking down the aisle.

It’s the quiet squeeze of a hand.

And it’s also the bridal party trying to “stay calm” while someone’s funny uncle is holding court like he’s the official entertainer of the day… and at some point, there may or may not have been talk about bull riding becoming a new wedding tradition 🤠😂

This wedding in the heart of Fraser Valley had everything I love…soft emotional moments, happy tears, big laughter, and just the right amount of chaos that makes a wedding feel alive.

As a Vancouver wedding photographer, I always find myself drawn to that mix. The beautifully planned moments… and the completely unplanned ones happening right beside them (like lipstick re-applied five times, someone fixing a tie for the third time, and the “okay who’s in charge?” energy that nobody actually answers).

She was glowing the entire day…not because it was perfect, but because it was full of life.💫

✨📸🤩 One minute I’m photographing all the little details they spent months planning.

The next… I’m fixing a broken bustle with a sewing kit I found right after cake cutting and before first dance.🧵🪡

Then I’m running through a field taking sunset portraits while trying not to fall backwards. HA 👯🤭

And somehow by the end of the night, I’m sitting at the dinner table laughing with the couple and the guests like we’ve been friends for years.🍽️

Wedding photography is so much more than taking pictures.

It’s problem solving, storytelling, calming nerves, hyping people up, and being fully present for one of the biggest days of someone’s life.

And honestly… I wouldn’t trade it for anything and couples please note, I LOVE every min of it!!!!💫💛 …honestly such a joy and pleasure to be part of the ride.

When I get invited into your home for a family session, please know I’m not looking for perfection. 🤍

And even though this first photo is posed and may seem “perfect,” once I arrive, it becomes so much less about me and so much more about you.

You are the director of your own story.

I’m simply there to document the connection, the personality, the movement, and the little moments that make your family unique. Whether your kids are running wild, someone needs a snack break, or the house feels beautifully lived in…that’s the magic.

In-home family photography or any session for that matter isn’t about creating a flawless version of your life. It’s about preserving this season exactly as it feels.

Your firstborn changes you forever.💫

They are the one who made you a mother.💫

The one you learned with, grew with, cried with, and loved before you even knew how deep love could go.

There’s something so emotional about raising your first child while quietly becoming a completely new version of yourself at the same time.

Your firstborn holds so many “firsts.”

First heartbeat you lived for.❤️
First tiny hand in yours.✨
First time your heart existed outside your body.🤍

And no matter how many children follow, there will always be something sacred about the one who made you mom. 🤍

Mother’s Day just passed, but I keep thinking about how motherhood deserves to be documented beyond one holiday.

Because the beauty is really in the everyday moments we so easily rush through while living them.

The seasons change. They grow. We change too.
And that’s exactly why these memories matter so much.🌼✨
