Magnetawan is fortunate to have a theatre group called the “Deep Woods Players.” This group is a collaboration between Magnetawan, Ahmic Harbour, and Dunchurch residents. Last night, they braved the wilderness, including bears and bugs, to join me for a photo shoot. Everything went well, and they even sacrificed a little blood for the team!

On July 3rd and 4th, they will be presenting a dinner theatre performance titled “Do Not Resuscitate” at the Magnetawan Community Centre.

The group's mission statement is as follows:
“Deep Woods Players is committed to bringing theatre and entertainment by the community, for the community. We are a volunteer group dedicated to showcasing local talent in Magnetawan, Ahmic Harbour, Dunchurch, and the surrounding areas.”

Just putting it out there. With all the apple blossoms out right now, I am looking for an apple or crab apple tree to photograph at night using a new technique. It has to be in an area of low light pollution and preferably on its own. Send me a note of.you have such a thing or k ow where o e is in the region.....thanks...Jim

Just gotta love the dump.
When I was at the Magnetawan Landfill Site today, Melanie called me over and told me there was a moma ground hog moving her babies to a new burrow. So, I watched her for a bit and saw the route she was taking and then laid down close to her path. Sure enough, she came by and posed for me. She brushed my left shoulder on her way by. She moved 4 little gophers to their new home. She saved the "chuncky monkey" for last. The photo that has me in it was taken by Melanie Sunday.

I love my Muck Boots. I own 3 pairs. My issue is that all 3 pairs are delaminating. When I have contacted Muck they just recommend a rubber glue. Mucks are in the higher price range and honestly, they should wear better. If you are in an abusive relationship with your " bush" boots, what was your alternative? Looking for a preferably Canadian company. Let me know.
