A flashback to 2016 when I got my first drone. This was in Forteau, Labrador and I seen my first whales. I was using the DJI Phantom 3 drone and it had a very short range and I was not very comfortable with it as you can tell by the choppy camera moving.

Quick stop over in Pugwash, Nova Scotia today.

This little village is home to the Windsor Salt mine, which has been running since 1959. Pretty cool seeing the whole operation tucked in beside the town and the water.

Snapped a few drone shots of the mine site, some of the community, and the Argentia Desgagnés sitting at the dock loading up salt. These ships haul it out for road salt all over the Maritimes and beyond.

It's one of those spots where big industry and small town life coexist. Nice views from the air too

***Wedding on the beach update. ***

Thanks to everyone who shared my original post, I was able to locate the newlyweds and get the aerial photos into their hands.

I’m happy to report that they were absolutely thrilled to receive them, and it was my pleasure to be able to give them a unique perspective of their special day.

As I mentioned from the beginning, my only goal was to find the couple and offer them the photos as a gift. Now that they’ve received their copies, I’ll be removing the wedding photos from this page.

A sincere thank you to everyone who shared the post, tagged friends, and helped make this happen. It’s amazing what a community can accomplish when people come together.

Congratulations once again to the happy couple, and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! 💕

While out flying my drone today (Saturday July 4 at around 2:00 pm) I captured some photos of a wedding on St Margaret’s beach, PEI.

I kept a safe distance (using the zoom feature on the drone) and didn’t want to disturb them or their guests - but if anyone knows the couple and they might like the photos, please send them my way and I will forward the photos along.

***EDIT*** - train is now moved and the road is open again. 2:30 pm

Looks like the train cars uncoupled while travelling through Maccan, NS. Those waiting at the intersection could be there for a bit. These photographs were taken following safety guidelines and regulations. 2026-06-21.
