Holding Two Places es una residencia artística que reúne a músicos de London, Canadá y Mérida, Yucatán, para compartir, experimentar y crear juntos.

El 10 de noviembre abrimos este encuentro al público con un concierto en el Palacio de la Música, donde los artistas compartirán su música y parte de lo que surge de esta experiencia.

Nos encantará que nos acompañen. ❤️

Holding Two Places is an artist residency bringing together musicians from London, Canada, and Mérida, Yucatán, to connect, experiment, and create together.

On November 10, we’re opening this experience to the public with a concert at Palacio de la Música, where the artists will share their music and some of what emerges from their time together.

We’d love to see you there. ❤️

To eat, move, make things, wander, talk, rest… experience the places, the culture and the people who made me, and see what happens.

I am always thinking about home.

The one I came from, the one I made, and all the little pieces of one that somehow made their way into the other.

I left Mérida almost 25 years ago, but Mérida never left me. It came with me.

So I’m creating something very personal, that I am so excited about that I get emotional when I think of it and what it means.

An invitation to come home with me for a little while.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about softness (It could be rubbing off on me)

And what it means to have it.
Own it.
Create from it.

About being more than a photographer.
Being an artist and allowing myself to exist inside my work, too.

As I get older, I think a lot about presence.
About womanhood.
About what’s next for me creatively and personally.

Learning that softness can still be powerful.

Maybe that’s part of the art too.
