Neste ano o tema é "Água" em todas as suas formas: v***r, geada, chuvas, nuvens... Eu enviei uma das Cataratas do Iguaçu feita hoje mesmo e tô em dúvida entre algumas de Bruce Peninsula no Canadá pra ser a segunda a concorrer.

I'm taking part in the call for entries for the 2nd Campos do Jordão International Photography Festival in Brazil, the Campos de Luz Festival!

This year's theme is "Water" in all its forms: v***r, frost, rain, clouds... I submitted one of the Iguaçu Falls taken today and I'm deciding between some from the Bruce Peninsula in Canada for the second entry.

The call for entries has been extended and is open to photographers from all over the world until October 7th. More information at www.festivalcamposdeluz.com.br! "Autumn Sunset, Canada, 2024"
In this image, the sunset marks the end of a cycle, but at the same time illuminates the young tree, symbolizing new beginnings. A reminder of how everything in life is interconnected.

This weekend, as I wrapped up a gravel bike ride in the early evening, I kept an eye on this massive cloud formation, hoping to find the perfect foreground on my way home for a great photo: maybe a big lonely tree, a farm silo or a barn. Then I found a spot with a clear horizon and decided to make my bike the star of the shot. A nearby puddle only increased the potential for a nice image. After playing around with the reflection by bringing my phone very close to the water and experimenting with angles, I ended up with three favourites that I later brought into Snapseed for a quick edit and voilà!

Last Fall we came back from our trip to Québec with and and I said to "well, the colours are still blasting, let's go to Algonquin?" and the following weekend we were back on the road again.
