The Beauty of Four Seasons - Winter

Oh the thought of winter instantly makes me shudder.

The Cooooold Winter.

From 40 degrees in Summertime to -40 degrees in Wintertime. Here the leaves have completely fallen off....poor leaves. They couldn’t withstand the cold weather and have now left the trees bare and empty.
But even in this season, beauty can be seen. The snowflakes ❄️ that fall, all spread out like a large blanket across the lawns, trees and everything, in sight.

Some facts I found out about snow are amazing:

Snow is actually colourless. It just looks white because it absorbs and reflects light (And here you were thinking the season was all dark and gloomy)

All snowflakes have six sides and consists of beautiful, intricate patterns (That’s just amazing)

A single snowstorm can drop up to 40 million tons of snow and carries the energy equivalent to 120 atom bombs ( watchout 💣 )

So what am I getting at? Maybe you are in winter season and all seems gloomy and cold. Think of your challenges as snow:

They are colourless and reflect whatever you have within so make sure you are giving off the right colour as it affects the outcome (Imagine if snow was black 🤷🏽‍♀️🤔😳😲🤭😱😰😫😩)

They consist of beautiful, intricate patterns and so you have to find the patterns and make the best out of them. Make it beautiful 😍

Oh and those atomic bombs 💣 just prove that what you carry on the inside is enough to make an explosion to transform not just your life, but indeed your world.

Oh how summer gives way to the green leaves 🍃 turning all brown, red, yellow and orange 🍁 🍂

Autumn or fall is one of my most favourite seasons, not only because the weather is cooler, but because nature is at its finest.

It’s amazing!

Especially in the cooler parts of the world like UK, Canada and US.

Several times while driving I am practically in tears because everywhere I turn my eyes, I saw God’s creative brilliance 🤩 A sight to behold.

On a few of such occasions, I parked, got out of the car and went trigger happy (if you missed that post, you may want to catch up on my blog) I was trying to capture what my Father had created. I sometimes imagine how His genius mind works.

Fall, as the name suggests, signifies that the leaves are about to fall off the trees. They are drying up. They are losing the nutrients and warmth from the summer period

(Read up on summer if you missed it).

And so it may sometimes be in seasons of our lives, where we’ve started a business, career or relationship and the summer (honeymoon) season is over and has given way to fall (where all seems cold, dry and brisk)

But relax! even in this time because, even though the leaves aren’t green anymore and are on their way to being withered, ABBA still brings beautiful colours out of this season.

Springtime gives way to Summertime! 

Marked with sunshine...no clouds in the skies. The sun is used severally to describe bright, joyful, happy days. 

In some parts of the world though, the sun is becoming a description of heat and sweat. You hear comments like:
“Working under the hot sun” (of course it’s hot....it’s the sun 🌞 😅)

And it’s no wonder with almost 40 degrees sometimes, the sun/heats starts to consume and burn, making people long for cooler climates and weathers. 

However, in times when I’ve been in the cold for too long, I just long for the sun and want to bask in it. I call it thawing after being frozen 🥶 

But ultimately, the sun still depicts brightness, joy and laughter. Just like some seasons in our lives..... where things are going great, we have clarity. Career, business, life is moving on smoothly and its all clear skies.....

And so the saying "Make hay while the sun shines" is so apt in describing what our position should be in the summer seasons of our lives. Be Productive!

I’ve tried to capture some sunny photography moments. Who can relate with any of the sunny moments with regards to their lives?

Spring

The planting season. New life begins 🌱

From the rubbles of the earth come the budding of new growth; a fresh and beautiful springtime. The beginning of harvesttime.

For me, harvesttime actually starts with planting. Because, reaping a good harvest is very dependent on the planting season.

You see, some of the other seasons are somewhat like harvesting seasons and though it is fun to harvest, hold on a minute.....what are you planting in this season?
1 You can only harvest if you actually plant something
2 You can only harvest from the seed of what you plant. So you cannot harvest oranges if you plant cashew 🤷🏽‍♀️
So it’s extremely important that while in this season, we are planting and more so, that we are planting the right seeds because when harvest comes we want to be in the party of those that reap a 100 fold.

What seeds do you need to be planting today to reap the desirable harvest in the future? Don’t start planting in the winter season when the cold weather won’t be accommodating of your seed. Start in springtime.
