A few shots from last night starting with the beach and pond at Hemeon's Head and then a spot along the road between Little Harbour and Rockland that I always try to photograph. Tomorrow marks the beginning of the last four The “BiG BeacH MarKeT” LOCKePORT N.S. held at the Crescent Beach Centre. Looking like an inside venue with rain in the forecast. This event has made an incredible difference to the fundraising efforts for the new Seacaps Park Playground and offers something for everyone. This photo of the Tigney Stillwater is the cover of my 2027 Landscape Calendar which along with some new canvas prints, will hopefully be available at next week's market. Thank you to everyone who continues to support us and we hope to see some new faces drop by tomorrow, September 3rd.

UPDATE: What an amazing market yesterday both for the fundraiser and as a vendor. New order already submitted for panoramic images for next week and time to mat some new 8 x 10's. Thank you to everyone who visited my display today and commented on my photos.

The “BiG BeacH MarKeT” LOCKePORT N.S. is back on again this afternoon with a change in time from 4:00 - 6:00 only for our remaining markets. I have replenished some of my favourite pano images and will have a small supply of my 2027 Wildlife Calendar on hand. Plenty of other vendors on site plus the food booth so drop on by and enjoy the atmosphere and the beach.

Semi-palmated Plovers arrive on our beaches in large numbers during fall migration and sometimes are confused with the species at risk, Piping Plovers that have nested on Crescent Beach the past few years. Flocks in the thousands of this variety of plover can be seen along the coast of the Bay of Fundy in both NS and NB at this time of year.

The fog and bank of cloud obscured the sun for a little while tonight but it managed to break through briefly. I always try to shoot with something of interest in the foreground of my images so had to resort to rose hips and slippery rocks tonight and probably a few mosquitos too since they were plentiful.

The “BiG BeacH MarKeT” LOCKePORT N.S. was the place to be this afternoon with lots of people dropping by to enjoy the atmosphere and a beautiful summers day. Thank you to everyone who dropped by in support of the Playground Project and the vendors on hand. A number of people commented today on my puffin pics and didn't realize there were colonies here in SW Nova Scotia. This is a drone image of Ram Island where the "Clowns of the Sea" nest in good numbers just off the coast of Hemeon's Head. ( Arnolds) With a good spotting scope, you can see the Puffins from the parking spot at the end of the road but they'll soon be headed back out to the open ocean so don't wait.
