Summer seriously FLEW by. 😭 How are we already down to the last two weeks?!

I’ve been powering through my busiest season yet, trying to keep up with work while also making sure I’m actually present with my boys before summer disappears completely. It’s been a little chaotic!

I’m definitely going to miss the lazy mornings and having the kids home, but I’m also VERY ready for a routine again. School, schedules, knowing what day it is...

And honestly, I’m not mad about what comes next because your girl is a spooky season gal. 👻Bring on the fall weather, cozy nights, and Halloween everything.

I'll squeeze out every last bit of summer though + tackle the crap out of this editing mountain I have. I’ve found that listening to audiobooks while I edit actually helps me focus and makes the hours of editing a little more enjoyable!

So… drop your book recommendations below! 👇🏼 I need something good to get me through the rest of this editing mountain.

There’s something so special about getting to photograph a family through the different chapters of their life. 🤍

I first got to photograph these two for their engagement, then their wedding day, then their newborn photos… and now here we are, capturing them as a family.

Getting to watch their love grow, their family grow, and being trusted to document all of it is honestly one of my favourite parts of this job.

There are some people who you meet and you just know they were meant to find each other. 🤍

You can see it in the way they look at one another... like the rest of the room disappears for a second. In the way they speak to each other with so much tenderness. In the little glances, the quiet smiles, and all the ways they naturally reach for one another.

You don’t need to hear their whole love story to understand it. You can see it written all over them.

These two are the kind of love that makes you believe in soulmates. The kind that feels safe, effortless, deep, and completely at home.

What a beautiful thing it is to witness a love like this.

Okay, but can we talk about how PERFECT this entire evening was?!

The light, the beach, the colours, the laughs, the cuddles — every little piece of this session came together so beautifully.

It happens so quietly, you almost don't notice.

One day, the backpacks are traded for car keys.
The family calendar fills with lives of its own.
The dinner table isn't always full.
And gathering everyone under one roof becomes something you look forward to instead of something you expect.

That's exactly why these photos matter.

They tell the story of this beautiful in-between... The season where your children are becoming who they're meant to be, while somehow still being the little faces you can picture so clearly.

Because no matter how much they grow, they'll always be your babies. ❤

Just writing this message to say-- I promise I'm still alive.

I've been pretty quiet on social media because I'm right in the thick of busy season, and honestly... I wouldn't have it any other way.

I've been spending my evenings chasing sunsets, toddlers, giggles, cuddles, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with photographing families. My editing queue is... let's just say she's thriving.

If I've been MIA, it's because I'm buried in memory cards, living off iced coffee, and editing till my eyeballs bleed.

I seriously can't wait to start sharing some of these sessions with you all. There have been SO many good ones. ❤

For now, I'll leave you with this gorgeous extended family session. These sessions are so special—they're the perfect excuse to get everyone together, and they make such meaningful gifts for parents and grandparents. Memories like these only become more valuable with time!

To ride beneath endless western skies,
cross kingdoms where dragons still rule,
wander through pine-covered mountains,
and find ourselves in stories that feel older than time.

The best books leave traces behind.

A line you can't forget.
A place you wish existed.
A version of yourself you meet somewhere between the first page and the last.

And somehow...

when the story ends,
a little piece of you is still living there.
