Book the photos. You’ll be 80 years old looking back on these memories, thankful you can still feel them almost as you did when they were happening. Details that will never be the same. Your littles will never be this little again.

Of all the photos I’ve ever taken in my years, my most cherished are of my children being themselves, as they are, of all their little details, and of them exploring new things for the first time, at their own pace.

Sometimes, the best images aren’t the ones that are picture perfect. Sometimes, they’re the ones that show the personality of the subject, and the feeling of the moment. At first glance, it might just look like flowers to you, but to me, I was witnessing her joy as she hop-hop-hopped like a bunny through the field of weeds. Pure bliss for her as she hopped around hunting down her ball, over and over and over again.

I miss shooting small animals [with my camera—I promise!]. It fills up my cup, especially hedgehogs. I love seeing them come out of their shell, or try to. They’re such curious little creatures, both predictable and not at the same time. Each so unique. If you have a hedgehog and you’re located in the YQL, hit me up. These moments are fleeting. I’m so thankful to have had the pleasure of being able to freeze them in time for so many families.

There are eight special little babes here with eight very unique sets of features. All have grown into incredible little humans, the youngest in the lot being only currently a year old, and the oldest being TEN! It goes by so fast.

Because some moments are just too precious to forget. Book your Fresh 48 now. You will never regret having those moments forever, in print or even on your screen. I look back on my small babes when they were fresh often because it goes by so so so fast. These are some of my favourite sessions to shoot for families because nothing beats preserving those memories.

My little niece recently turned one and I had the privelege of taking her first birthday photos. I lived with her family when she came home and until a month before her first birthday, on and off. Watching her grow has been such a blessing.
