📸 A little BMD Photography update 🤍

I wanted to hop on here and give everyone a little update because life has been busy over the last year!

Back in October, I was promoted at my full time job to Site Manager, which was a huge change from my previous cleaning position. Between adjusting to a new role, going through a separation, buying a house, being a mom, and just navigating some pretty major life changes, photography has unfortunately had to take a bit of a back seat.

Photography started as a hobby for me, but it has grown into something I genuinely LOVE. 🥹 I’ve received so many messages and requests for photos, and I know there are quite a few I haven’t gotten back to. I haven’t been watching my photography Messenger as closely as I should, and I truly apologize to anyone whose message I missed! 🤍

With that being said… I want to get back out there this fall! 🍂📸

For now, I will be offering outdoor family & couples sessions only, with limited availability. I’m also working on setting up an online booking system where you’ll be able to see my available dates and times, choose your session, pay your deposit, and book instantly! This is still a work in progress, but I’m hoping it will make things SO much easier and prevent messages from getting lost.

🏔️ I’m also considering doing a day of sessions in Waterton toward the end of September! I’ll know more about dates and time slots in the coming weeks, but if I can make it happen, you’ll have the opportunity to book a spot for a beautiful fall Waterton session. 😍

Lastly, I just want to say thank you. The amount of people who have come back to me for photos, recommended me, shared my work, or reached out wanting to book has honestly been more than I ever expected when I started doing this.

Eventually, I would love to be able to dedicate more of my time to photography because it truly is something that makes me happy. 🤍 For now, I’m finding my balance and making room for it again.

A little sneak peek from this beautiful maternity session. 🤎🌿

Getting to photograph my cousin during such a special chapter of her life made this session extra meaningful. It had been far too long since we’d really caught up, and I’m so glad we got the chance to reconnect, laugh, and capture these memories together.

And of course, their very handsome four-legged baby had to steal a little bit of the spotlight. 🐾😂

This gallery hit a little differently. 🤍

Life has a funny way of carrying us in different directions. My cousin Bradley and I grew up together and then life happened, not because of anything other than life being busy, big moves, life. So getting the chance to capture his beautiful family and meet the little boy he's brought into this world felt incredibly special.

As I sat editing these photos, I found myself thinking about our Dads. We lost them only a year apart, and since then we've also had to say goodbye to our Auntie Judy, our Papa, and our Grandma. It made me realize how much they would absolutely adore this little family and how proud they would be of the people we've become.

There was a moment while editing where it hit me that even though so many of the people who shaped us aren't here to witness these milestones, their love still carries through generations. You can see it in the way Bradley looks at his son, in the quiet moments between them, and in the beautiful family they've created together.

And to Olha and her sweet daughter, welcome to the family. 🤍 Even though life has taken us all in different directions, I'm so happy to see the love and happiness you've all found together.

Photography is so much more than pictures to me. It's freezing moments that become part of a family's story. And this one... this one I'll hold close to my heart.
