Where forever feels unreal

A month of this journey began with four destination weddings, but somewhere along the way, it became about something even more meaningful… our family.

Traveling across Europe with an almost two-year-old, armed with the determination and negotiating skills of an entire army of toddlers, wasn’t always easy. There were tired little legs, changing schedules, unexpected meltdowns, and moments that truly tested our patience.

But every challenge was worth it.

In return, we’ve been given something priceless: a lifetime of memories.

Watching Zara grow with every new city, every train ride, every beach, every plate of pasta, every cobblestone street, and every new adventure has been one of the greatest gifts of being her parents. You can almost see her little world expanding day by day, and witnessing that kind of wonder reminds you to slow down and see the world through her eyes again.

And then there’s Katie.

Watching her embrace motherhood with so much patience, love, and grace has filled my heart in ways I never imagined. Seeing the bond between her and Zara deepen with every shared laugh, cuddle, discovery, and quiet moment together has been just as unforgettable as the places we’ve visited.

Years from now, Zara may not remember every destination on this trip. She may not remember the names of the towns or the landmarks we stood in front of.

But she’ll always grow from the love she was surrounded by.

And for us, that’s what this journey was really about. ❤️
