I had the opportunity to capture Paul Jensen’s ‘Your Own Luck’ EP Release Party at Frank’s in Edmonton AB. At the time, I had never met Paul or heard him perform, but it didn’t take long to understand why his music connects with so many people.

The best folk music doesn’t just tell a story — it teaches us something about being human. Through his songs, Paul reminds us to find meaning in the simple things, to carry our struggles with grace, and to keep moving forward even when life feels heavy.

This is the Magic that I Love to Photograph.
