"Heaven's Kiss"
swipe for a new poem 🌊

So softly the rainbow kisses the sea. It's gentle colours a caress upon steadily rolling waves. A reminder that as life pushes and pulls in a rhythm sometimes we are connected to and sometimes we aren't, that we are never alone. That you are never alone; but safely and softly held by something so much greater.

This photo is one of my favourite images from my NOURISH exhibition. When I photographed it I was struggling to adapt to a big move, missing my loved ones and feeling a deep loneliness that would take me many months to shake as I carefully rebuilt. The subtle rainbow, the gentle blues, the calm, rolling waves became a part of me as I walked down to this beach by myself many, many times. I would whisper my worries to the waves and remind myself that even here, a world away from the life I knew, I was still connected to that push and pull, that give and take. That ebb and flow.

Years later, I look at this image and am reminded amidst a season of constant change—particularly during times of great loneliness and self-doubt—that I am exactly where I am meant to be, and that the universe always has a greater plan. That the little strip of colour falling into the waves is still a part of me—a part of us all—during both times when we are lost, and times when we are found.

I’ll never get over the feeling of holding my images in my hands—like cradling a tangible memory or dream. Moments captured in art that transcend time and space, and connect me to family, friends, lovers and strangers. The beautiful thing about sharing printed work is seeing how each piece resonates with the person it travels to—whether hung on a wall, or passed hand-to-hand in a magazine. Savoured slowly over time, or shared family-style by curious eyes.

I’m beyond excited to reveal that a curated selection of my landscapes has been published in a special issue of DOCU: Photography Print Magazine. Flipping through these 20 images is a reminder of how photos were meant to be viewed—in the proverbial flesh. It’s juicy, raw, real and so, so beautiful.

If your hands would like to hold my art, I’m offering a small batch of signed magazines. I am also launching my limited edition prints from my NOURISH exhibition on July 20th, which is also the opening of my solo NOURISH exhibition at cSPACE Marda Loop. DM me tcSPACE Marda Loopon a magazine, or to join the launch waitlist.

little sun spot
hiding
golden dewdrop
honeyed glow
one of billions
your hopeful shine
fleeting
coating tiny hands with sticky yellow
a magical paint
your first gift
your last
a wish
seeds blowing asunder
finding new places to rest
planting hopes whispered
from pudgy fingers
thick rolls clasping tight
little heart wishing with all his might

Looking back on the memories made in 2025 I couldn’t believe so many wonderful things could happen in one year—from small moments in the kitchen to big moments at work, meeting so many incredible people along the way, and cherishing every second spent with the people I love. My heart is exceptionally full of gratitude moving into 2026.

Some cutie moments from the last year:

1. My first exhibition. Seeds are already planted for my next project.

2. Making snow angels with my little angel.

3. You know I’m having fun when the double chin comes out.

4. Adventures on the Island with tiny and the fam.

5. Baking with tiny using Grandma’s cookbook, circa 1960.

6. Teaching my second ever workshop (food photography ofc).

7. A smol bat.

8. Deconstructed apple pie.

9. Adventures in small-town Ontario with tiny and the fam.

10. Tiny cousins in Toronto.

11. Two besties with very different tastes in books.

12. My favourite flower with my favourite human.

13. A tiny conquering mountains.

14. Favourite things with my favourite people.

15. Little hands and wildflowers.

16. Soulmate.

17. Killer hairstyles.

18. We battled many monsters that day.

19. The world must look infinite to him.

20. My other child, whom I also love very much.
