Today, I'm thinking of all the dads, grandpas, papas, uncles, and father figures who love, support, encourage, and leave a lasting impact on the lives around them. Through my camera, I've had the privilege of meeting and photographing so many incredible men, and it has been such an honor to witness the love they have for their families.

I've witnessed joyful beginnings, growing families, milestone moments, and even seasons of deep grief and loss. Each story has reminded me of the depth of a father's love. I've seen the proud smiles, the playful moments, the quiet strength, and the way they show up for the people they love. Those are the moments that remind me that fatherhood is often found in the little things: the presence, the sacrifices, the guidance, and the unconditional love.

I also know that Father's Day can hold many different emotions. Today, I hold space for those who are missing their dads, for fathers who have experienced the loss of a child, for those who long to become a father, and for those navigating difficult or strained relationships. Whether today is filled with celebration, gratitude, grief, or a mix of it all, I hope you know that your story matters and that you are seen.

Whenever clients ask if we can include something special or meaningful in their session, my answer is always YES.

Photography sessions should feel personal and reflect who you are in this season of life. For this graduate, that meant making sure his truck was part of the story.

Where it began.

Just a little girl, overalls, Betty Boop hat, and a camera strung around my neck. I have no idea where I got it, but I'll never forget it. A Crayola, mini 110 camera, for outdoor photography only, my pride and joy, I took that thing everywhere with me- capturing beauty along the way.

Little did I know that the little girl with such passion and drive, stopping for little things, would grow up to be the same girl who sees beauty everywhere she looks. Who will still stop to take a photo of a small wildflower, a pebble on a beach, or a beautiful sunset in the distance. The girl who would take what she has, and build the best life she can from it. The gear didn't have to be fancy, or expensive, becuase the heart and eyes could see and envision.

This same girl gives thanks for what the future holds, knowing God is right by her side throughout it all. 🩷
