Yesterday was such a beautiful celebration of Jaryn & Vanessa. 🤍

There’s something so special about watching two people who complement each other so naturally—Vanessa’s warmth and joy alongside Jaryn’s calm and steady presence.

Their day was filled with so many little pieces of who they are, but more than anything, it was a beautiful reflection of the love they share.

So grateful I got to be there to witness it and capture the beginning of this next chapter together. ✈️🎶

Spent last night with the Driedger’s… what a sweet family! 🤍

I’m pretty well booked for extended family sessions this year, and honestly, it’s been such a blessing to have so many beautiful families in front of my lens again. There’s something so special about documenting not just a family as they are right now, but all the relationships and little connections that make them them.

I’m looking forward to a few more extended families over the next couple of months!

If you have done an extended family session before or would like to one day, what would be the most important thing for me to capture or know as a photographer? (Or that you’d want your photographer to know?)

Olivia + Logan 🤍

This is exactly what I want an engagement session to feel like… playful, genuine, and full of laughter.

There was so much joy between these two, and they genuinely seemed to just have fun being together. We chased the beautiful clouds and golden light around this field, and then somehow ended with the most insane sunset. ✨

I always love when engagement sessions have me feeling like I’m a third wheel on your date.🥹 They’re an excuse to slow down, spend an evening together, and have a little fun while I document the way you naturally love each other. And it helps your wedding day feel so much more natural!

And I think Olivia + Logan did that pretty perfectly. 🤍

One thing to consider when planning your wedding timeline is the kind of light you want for your portraits.

Most wedding portraits happen in the middle of the day, when the sun is high and bright. Since this is usually what works best for the schedule of the day. This creates stronger highlights, more defined shadows, and a crisp, vibrant look.

Eric & Kaylee’s wedding is a beautiful example of this! ☀️ Their portraits were all taken in bright afternoon sunshine, so their gallery has that bright, sunny, vibrant feel.

My regular sessions generally take place in the evening, when the sun is lower and the light is softer. This is where you get that warm, glowy look that I especially love.

Overcast days create another beautiful look entirely, with soft, even light and very gentle shadows. Which is often why photographers scream a little when we see a sky with clouds on your day. 😉😍😍

So if you love softer, dreamier portraits, I always recommend leaving even 10–15 minutes for sunset photos. But if that isn’t a priority for you, don’t worry! We can still create beautiful portraits in whatever light your wedding day brings. 🤍

I just want you to know how much the time of day and weather can influence the overall look of your gallery so you can make intentional choices when planning your day.

Such a sweet little family in front of my camera this past week. 🩵

It is such a privilege to be invited into these moments—to capture your story and preserve memories you’ll treasure for years to come. I never want to lose sight of what an honour that is.

This season has looked a little different for me. I’ve had to say “no” more than in previous years because I’m choosing to be intentional about soaking in this season with my own family. While that hasn’t always been easy, it has made every session I’ve been able to photograph feel even more meaningful.

Thank you for trusting me with your memories, for your patience with longer delivery times, and for your grace with my more limited availability. Your support allows me to do what I love while being present for the people I love most, and I’ll never take that for granted.

I’m so thankful for each and every one of you. 🩵
