It’s hard to process how one minute they’re here and the next they’re gone. My dear friend Melissa’s dog Porter crossed the rainbow bridge today. 🤍

She was part of my extended family and while my heart is broken, I can’t imagine what Melissa is feeling right now. Especially after loosing Flint just one month ago.

Melissa had just welcomed Porter into her family when I first met her 11 years ago and it’s safe to say our friendship grew over our love for our dogs. Not only was Porter loved by us, but she was Diggs’s oldest friend and I know he will miss her greatly. They had so many unforgettable adventures together and I’m eternally grateful to have those memories to cherish.

I took countless photos of this beautiful girl and they made me smile through tears as years of happy memories came flooding back. I hope they bring Melissa some comfort during this heartbreaking time.

Rest peacefully, sweet Porter. Give Loki Bear and Flint my love 🌈

I’m so thankful this little guy is starting to feel like himself again. 🖤

Diggs gave us quite a scare last week when he came in from outside stumbling and walking in circles. His eyes were constantly darting back and forth and it was terrifying to witness. We didn’t know what was wrong and felt helpless so we rushed to the emergency vet clinic.

Our first thoughts were he was either poisoned or had a stroke and we were thankful the vets examined him right away. After a short while, the vets let us know that Diggs was experiencing idiopathic vestibular disease which sounds scary but they explained it’s very common in older dogs and Diggs would improve in a few days.

I had never heard of such a thing before and was so relieved to learn Diggs would be ok with a little rest and a lot of love.

He’s still a bit wobbly and may have a head tilt from now on, but he’s still the happiest boy and that’s all that matters 🥹

He might not have been my dog, but he was still part of my family. Handsome, sweet, goofy, darling Flint crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday and he’s already so missed.

It has always been Porter & Flint for as long as I’ve known .drieman and my heart breaks for her with this sad news. Flint was a lucky boy to have your family choose him and I was lucky to get to love him like one of my own.

Rest peacefully, sweet boy. 🌈🤍
