My 2026 holiday mini backdrop arrived today! 🤍 It's big and beautiful and I can't wait to style this thing with fresh and fragrant evergreens, pinecones and roses. 🌲

Admittedly, these soft tones are a bit unusual for me, but I was drawn to this realistic woodland scene. I love the floral swags and the soft trees and bokeh lights in the background. I feel like I could use some relaxed, cozy, boho forest feels this holiday season. It feels peaceful.

There's so much potential for styling your outfits for this set. It would be hard to go wrong, honestly. You could stick with timeless neutral clothing, classic red and green, or any combination of deep blue, green, eggplant, mustard yellow, burgundy, deep fuschia, and soft pink. Fuzzy furry textures and layers will bring dimension.

Reviving my favourite festive tradition. 🖤 Witch Pictures will return to A’Daylia Gardens Saturday October 24th. ✨🧙🏻🌙

What started as a last minute idea to have some fun with my nieces back in 2015 has become so much more. Nearly every year since, we’ve gathered a handful of participants together to revel in the magic of the harvest season. To return to a simpler time of dress up and play for a day. To enjoy some whimsy in this season of life. 🧙🏻🧡 After all, if you don’t go looking for magic, you’ll never find it. 🪄

2026 will mark my TENTH year of this fun photo shoot. To celebrate, I’m opening up participation to the public. If you’ve always seen these photos and thought, “That looks like fun…” now’s your chance!

Photos will occur between 3-6pm on October 24th. (Rain date 25th.) There will be a $50 fee per witch to help cover costs. You need to come dressed in your own costume.

I owe some of you an apology! 🫤 Maybe. Probably. Actually, its hard to know. If you tried to email me during August, SORRY! There's a super good chance I didn't receive your message. And that you didn't even get a bounce back notification. 📲

So until further notice, when emailing me, please send your inquiry to both [email protected] and also [email protected] as a backup. ✅ As usual, you're also welcome to contact me via phone or text, or Facebook or Instagram DM.

So what happened? When I released my new website on July 30th, I was so pleased to see all my systems up and running smoothly. For a few days. Then my email provider upgraded their interface and everything broke. 😧

I have spent far more hours and days dealing with this than I care to share. I've been assured it is fixed by multiple robots and customer service reps and yet I still can't receive a test message sent from my website or my Pixieset galleries. Personal messages seem to be getting delivered now. But I'm not super confident everything is coming through.

What a pain! Feels like I spent all last month trying to recover from various ailments and tech troubles when I wanted to be editing and sharing new work with all of you.

Anyway, September is here, summer is winding down and I'm gearing up for a great fall.

Stay tuned for announcements about September golden hour sessions, Witch pictures on October 24th and Deck The Halls Holiday Minis on November 14th and 15th.

Spring is showing off lately. 🪻🌷☀

I 🩷 this time of year. When I'm not with my family or working on photos, you can usually find me helping my mom with her business, 📸 That frequently looks like me wandering around in the garden with my camera close at hand, chatting with customers, and making and photographing floral arrangements. I love getting to spend time with my mom doing something creative that we both enjoy. ☺️
