As a mom, I know how important bedtime routines can be.

But when smiles are like this?? All bets are off. 😂

Golden hour family sessions sometimes mean keeping kids up past bedtime. There may be snacks involved. There may be grouchy behaviour the next day. 😅

But. Then we get photos like these. 🤩

September is actually a great time for littles. The evenings are cooler, the light is soft and gorgeous, and the sun sets earlier so you don’t have to push bedtime quite as far.

So yes, bedtime might be a little late.

But for photos you’ll cherish forever?

Worth it. ❤️

Here’s the funny thing about fall photos…

Everyone starts thinking about them when the leaves start to change. 🍂

But that’s not actually when you should BOOK them.

September tends to fill up fast while we’re all still wearing sandals and pretending summer will never end.

And honestly? September is one of the best times to shoot. The light is soft and gorgeous, evenings are a bit cooler without being cold, and the humidity finally starts to fade (good bye frizz, you will not be missed 😂). You get that beautiful late summer/early fall look, that only this time of year delivers.

My fall calendar is officially open, and September is already filling up fast.

So while everyone is waiting for the leaves to change, you can rest easy knowing your family photos are already booked. 😉
