It’s been a few years since I’ve offered family holiday portraits, and I’m honestly SO excited to bring them back! ❤️

When I was growing up in the 90's, family vacations looked a lot different.

There were no smartphones, no social media, no texting, no constant notifications. Once you left, you were simply... gone. You weren't accessible every minute of every day, and honestly, that was kind of magical. You lived in the moment, soaked up every sunset, every campfire, every laugh, and made memories.

I'll be the first to admit it... I can be a slave to my phone, like most of us. If I'm not on it for my photography business, I'm booking in clients for their salon appointments or answering messages. Our entire lives seem to live on these little screens.

But my kids are growing up in a world where being connected is the norm, and I want them to experience something different.

So for the next week, we're pressing pause.

We're heading to the cottage, and I'm making it my mission to give them the kind of 90's summer vacation I remember... one filled with swimming, campfires, card games, fishing, late nights, and memories that don't need Wi-Fi.

I'll be completely unplugging from work. I won't be responding to emails, calls, texts, or messages until August 3. I promise I'm not ignoring anyone... I just want to be fully present with my family.

I hope you're all having a beautiful summer and making memories that you'll still be talking about years from now. ❤️
