The forecast called for rain.
Lots of it.
Our original plan was to spend the evening wandering the sandy beaches of Wolfe Island, but sometimes the best stories begin when Plan A doesn’t work out.
Instead, we embraced the rain, headed to Fairfield Historic Park, and leaned into a completely different kind of magic.
What I thought was simply an outfit change and a few meaningful props quickly became one of the biggest surprises I’ve experienced behind my camera. Let’s just say... my “professional photographer” composure disappeared for a few seconds. 💚
By the end of the evening we had danced in the rain, splashed along the shoreline of Lake Ontario, laughed until our cheeks hurt, and created some of my favourite rainy-day images to date.
This session reminded me that beautiful memories don’t always happen under blue skies.
Sometimes they happen because of the rain.
I’ve shared the full story—including the surprise that had me squealing in the middle of the park—over on the blog.
Would you have embraced the rain or rescheduled? ☔💚
