She’s always been a great supporter of my work so it was so nice to be able to get the chance to photograph her family.
We shot well into the blue hour until there was just enough light to get back to our cars.
I enjoy how many different looks the light of the last hour of the evening gives us as the sun begins its retreat.

Meet the U13 - D1 Summerside United Soccer Club girls.
It rained a little bit at the end of this shoot but it didn’t stop us from squeezing in a few action shots before they left.

The last time I photographed this little man he was in his mamas belly and now I got to shoot him at less than a day old😊
Looking forward to seeing him again this fall when I shoot his parents wedding😊
I just love little baby fingers and toes.

This weekends wedding was magical. Perfect temperature, perfect people and a perfect venue.

These have a slightly different look than my usual as I try to shoot to match the mood or personalities of whomever I’m shooting.
I met these two many years ago when our children were in judo together. I was just learning how to take pictures back then and I had no idea I’d be photographing them all these years later.
These two were meant for each other, they complete each other and I can’t thank them enough for allowing me to experiment during this shoot.
I think they look like rock stars🌟

Little babies, so precious.
I love their skin, their fine little hairs, toes, ears, everything about them.
I photographed her parents wedding last summer and now I get to watch their family grow😊

My wife and I spent a day in Lunenburg last weekend. Just a little get away. Not a photography trip.
Knowing what I know now, it would be a great spot to take a photography adventure. Bring my tripod, different lenses and wait for the right light.
These are just simple walking around photos but I do hope they inspire others to explore the town themselves someday.

On our way to Nova Scotia on the weekend we passed by this house in ruins and I thought it had a lot of photographic potential, so we marked down the location in order to photograph it on the way home.
The weather wasn’t great for the moody look I was wanting and I didn’t bring either my tripod or bug spray, so I hope to go back and redo this in the fall the way I think it should look.
I could have edited it to look moodier but I find photos can lose a lot of realism and details when over editing, so I prefer not to.
If not for that amazingly ominous looking tree, I probably never would have bothered stopping, but I feel that tree made the scene for me.

No, the photo of them where they appear to be floating in the clouds was not done in Photoshop, it was created in camera.😉
I find the natural lighting on beaches here uninspiring, unless of course we get nice clouds like these.😊
At the right time of evening, the light consistently changes giving us so many options and variety of things to do. My favourite conditions to shoot in for sure. I do love textured skies
Soon this wonderful family will be a family of four and I’m so looking forward to meeting their new arrival, as well as photographing their wedding in the fall.😊
