Still feels like a pinch-me moment, getting to celebrate so many love stories here in the Okanagan.

The way the light settles over the valley,
the lakes, the open space —
it all adds something you can’t quite put into words.

The kind of afternoon that slows you down in the best way . chasing tiny toes through the grass, stealing a kiss here and there, noticing all the little details that seem to change overnight.

Parenthood never stops amazing me. The way little ones watch their parents so closely. The way they run into their arms like it’s the safest place in the world. The way they can spot a bug in seconds and turn it into the biggest adventure.

Photographing families will always mean something to me. These in-between moments ,the movement, the laughter, the wonder , they’re the ones that matter most.

There’s something about late afternoon light at a wedding

The way the warmth spills over shoulders
The way laughter carries across the courtyard
The way you smile when someone you love walks up to you to congratulate you

This is the part of the day I always notice most

Not the timeline.
Not the checklist.
But the feeling.

Friends leaning in close.
Cold drinks sweating in warm hands.
Parents watching quietly from a few steps back.
The in-between conversations that no one plans, but everyone remembers.

A wedding holds more than just two stories

They’re about the environment you create.
The people who shaped you.
The details you chose with intention.
And the joy that naturally unfolds when you gather everyone together.

One of the biggest worries couples share with us is, “We’re not good in front of the camera.”
The truth is — you don’t need to be.

Natural photographs aren’t about perfect posing or knowing what to do with your hands.
They’re created through gentle direction, natural movement, and feeling comfortable enough to be yourselves.

When you’re relaxed, emotions come through.
When you’re moving, moments unfold.
And when there’s trust, photos stop feeling staged and start feeling real.

Your only job is to be present with the person you love.
Our job is to guide you in a way that feels easy, natural, and true to you.

Save this for your engagement session or wedding day —
or share it with someone who says they’re “awkward in photos.”

The best photos come from space, trust, and time to breathe.

Wedding days don’t move slowly and perfectly like Pinterest timelines. They move fast, full of emotion, laughter, nerves, hugs, and moments you didn’t expect to feel so deeply.

From getting ready to your first look to walking down the aisle — can feel like a blur. Adding a little extra breathing room into your timeline gives you space to be present instead of rushed. That’s when the most natural photos happen.

Some of the most meaningful images aren’t posed at all. They’re the quiet glances, the shaky deep breaths, the way you reach for each other without thinking. Those are the moments that bring you right back years from now.

You don’t need to know how to pose or worry about looking perfect. When you focus on each other and trust the process, your photos become real, emotional, and timeless.

When you build your day with space, trust, and presence, your wedding gallery stops feeling like a photoshoot — and starts feeling like your story.

Save this for planning 🤍

Every year leaves its own imprint, and as this one closes, we’ve been taking time to sit with what it gave us.
The work we created, the people we met, the steady rhythm of wedding days — all of it reminding us why we care so deeply about what we do! And oh my was this year unforgettable!

Being trusted in those chapters that held joy and some that were fragile shaped us, and we carry that with a lot of honour.

This season always pulls us into reflection.
It reminds us that photographs become more than images , they become a record of love, what you felt, and the stories families hold onto.

Above everything, we want to continue creating work that carries meaning and intention. We cannot wait to spend more time with all you beautiful people!

Grateful for every person we photographed this year! Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts- Steven and Lindsay

Sweet summer nights — you felt like you’d last forever.
Late drives,up past our bedtime perfecting Gin and Tonics, sand still stuck in the car from last weekend’s beach trip, one more ice cream stop because (why not), and dinners that we griddled on our favourite beach.

We soaked up the adventures this summer more than ever— big and small! The road trips, camping in a tent ( yes we are those people!) , the belly laughs with people who feel like home. The kind of memories that sneak up on you later and make you smile.

Now the evenings are getting shorter, the air feels different, and there’s that quiet shift that tells us a new season is on its way.

And honestly? We are grateful. Grateful for what this summer was — imperfect, beautiful, full.
And also ready — ready for fresh routines, new memories, and cozy nights that feel like a soft landing even though at times we feel like we are just trying to stay afloat in our editing bubble.

So here’s to summer for giving us so many moments to tuck away…
And here’s to what’s next!

The shift into fall always brings a pause—space to reflect, recalibrate, and root a little deeper. After a beautiful week in Vancouver capturing some truly special family sessions (you know who you are—thank you for the trust, the warmth, and the laughter), we’re back home and deep in editing mode. The screens are full, the mugs are warm, and the stories are unfolding frame by frame.

We also stepped in front of the lens recently to shoot our rebranding photos—a vulnerable but exciting moment to reflect where Boketto has been and where it’s going. This next chapter feels more aligned than ever, and I can’t wait to share it with you. And thank you for being part of this!

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing some of those new images—leaning more into film-inspired frames, true tones, and color that feels like you. Honest, imperfect, rich with feeling. The good, the messy, the learning curves—because we really believe the most beautiful work (and life) comes when we let ourselves be seen as we are.

Thank you for being here. For every message, every booking, every kind word, and every moment shared in front of the lens—it all means more than we can say! Steven & Lindsay

My pinch-me moment didn’t come during the biggest wedding of the year, but in the quiet magic of an intimate elopement with Laura and Adam. They wanted no fluff—just them, private vows, and the most breathtaking backdrop.

The moment I signed as their witness, it hit me all over again—what an incredible honour it is to be invited into a couple’s wedding day. Whether it’s a grand celebration planned to perfection or a day with no schedule at all, the privilege is the same.

PS this was all shot on film! Like SERIOUSLY!! Can I just shoot everything film?

There are some weddings you just keep coming back to: The kind where every glance, every hug, every word feels intentional.

This one, set against the crisp fall vines at , felt like a deep breath. Intimate, heartfelt, and beautifully unhurried — a reminder that sometimes less truly is more. The kind of day that lingers, not because of the grandeur, but because of the closeness.
