It's been a while since I've shot under the stars.
Anyway, here's my first go at NGC 281 and the nearby star Achird.
NGC 281, or the Pacman Nebula, is an emission nebula located in the constellation Cassiopeia. It looms about 9200 light years away, spanning approximately 48 light years in radius and consists largely of ionized hydrogen.
About two hours of integration. I had three but lost one to tracking errors. Shot with the Radian 61 and the ASI183MC Pro cooled to -20ÂșC.
Finally started getting back out and testing the new imaging rig. I kept my expectations low for this one. I wasn't even sure I'd come home with anything usable, but I keep learning and trying to improve.
Relatively happy with how this turned out, although, I'm looking forward to adding more data to it at a later date.
