Okanagan Pairings Challenge - taste this!! This wins for the elements of deliciousness and surprise. First, their version of dessert wine had an essence of a late harvest Riesling dessert wine because the grape was present with the honey wine. Second, it was only half as sweet as I expected and finally when it was paired with raw honey, the honey remained lovely but the change happened to the wine. It became rounder, less sweet and the tropical notes became more pronounced. Therefore for unsurprising deliciousness and surprising change, we award this pairing the winner! We recommend this wine with blue cheese and a neutral crisp cracker, raw honey in the comb, and salty pistachios. Go get yourself some of everything and try it at home!!!
