So, last night I achieved something that’s been a goal of Mine since I started doing media for the Penticton VEES , and that is having one of my photos shared on the league social media. This may feel like a small thing to most people and not a big deal but it’s a huge deal to me. I’ve worked my butt off to get better at this creative stuff and it feels like finally I’m really on a good track and the pieces are falling into place!😌📸🔥

Last night I was given an opportunity to capture a hockey game in the arena I was given my start in sports photography at….an arena I’ve basically grown up in. I met and proposed to my wife in the arena I’m talking about. That arena is Rutland arena! The plot twist is this time I was shooting the game for the away team! Regardless it’s always nice to be around a familiar rink and see some familiar faces!🙏🏻📸

So I’m 16 days into this challenge of posting content on my Instagram everyday until I hit 2K followers, at the time of this post I’m 44 followers away from 2K so if you don’t already follow me on Instagram, you’re missing out! I’m very active posting on there! The biggest lesson so far for me in this challenge has been that posting content every single day is very hard! It may not seem hard b it I hold myself to a very high standard in the content space. I don’t just want to post sole half effort content that nobody will wanna see and I won’t have fun making. I try to make it interesting and engaging. And it’s hard! But I like to challenge myself creatively and this challenge has done exactly that! 🫡🔥🤝we’re over halfway there! I recently went on the Penticton VEES blue zone store on my phone to check out some Vees swag and when the page loaded, the first thing I saw was my playoff towel photo from last year as the background right on the team store home page…things like this are such small details but they mean a lot to us creatives! This towel photo has really had a huge impact on my creative journey! It’s received so much good feedback and seeing it used on websites and marketing campaigns means a lot! I’m just a 1 man crew from kelowna trying to make a name for myself!🩵
