It has been crazy over here! I promised myself I would get better at posting daily.

It won't happen over night but it is a commitment to myself to show up.

I have quite a few sessions I am in the process of working through.

I have lots of shout outs I want to make, in time.

I have lots in the works behind the scenes while I navigate capturing memories, editing galleries, and being present in my day-to-day with my family all while keeping up on the house work. Am i right? Who else is with me?!

Just know...we all rock, keep fu***ng going.

I had an incredible Friday with hubby and a wonderful group of souls. It was the first time in a while I felt present in the day. No phone. No selfies... just... being.. surrounded by nature...and truly exploring the land.

So here is to my first shout out... Northern Serenity Wholeness and Basin Vacations for teaming up and putting on an incredible retreat of tranquility. To just be. It was exactly what we needed and I am so humbled to have explored and captured these photos of the area at Allan Lake.

I cannot wait to go back!

If Day 1 wasn’t amazing enough, country fans came prepared to make Day 2 of the 10th Anniversary of Rock on the River another banger night.

Not only did the Main Stage light up, but the Northern Roots Stage was lighting up as well.
The amount of energy that still roared through the festival on Day 2 was something to witness.

It doesn’t matter what genre is taking over the stage. The energy is there, the fans are there, and the musicians show up and give it everything they’ve got. Day 2 was no exception.

The Northern Roots Stage brought us Matt Cosco, Cassidy Houston, Sacha-Lee & Gaets Cadieux, and Estelle & John.

Over on the Main Stage, we had Makinna Givens, Nate Haller, Jade Eagleson and Russell Dickerson.

An unbelievable performance was put on by every single one of them. Every artist brought something different to the stage, and every single one helped make Country Night a night for the books.

The energy, the fans, and the music brought a community together for yet another successful year.

The 10th Anniversary was a celebration to remember, and this community knows how to show up and make it unforgettable.

What a way to bring down the house for the 10th year of Rock on the River.

Two incredible days. Record breaking attendance. An unbelievable lineup. And a whole lot of people coming together to celebrate live music and everything that makes this festival so special.

And here I am, days later, still vibrating from it all. So, let's start with Day One. Friday was a banger from start to finish.

The Northern Roots Stage kept the crowd moving between sets and kicked off the night with Saving Bambi, followed by Flight 13, All the Wasted Years, and Blackwood Sinners.

Over on the Main Stage, we had Fortunate Losers, Plush (on their very first ever Canadian tour), Gob, and of course, The Offspring.

The stage was loud, but the crowd was even louder. Fans showed up, sang their hearts out, rooted on their favourite songs, and brought the kind of energy that made it impossible not to get caught up in the moment.

And honestly, that's one of my favourite parts of capturing these events.

It's not just about the artists on stage. It's about the people in the crowd. The fans singing every word. The friends sharing the moment. The energy that fills the entire place when everyone comes together for the same reason.

I always have a blast capturing these moments, and I am incredibly proud to have been there to document yet another unforgettable Rock on the River.

And this was only Day One. If you were there on Friday, you already know exactly what I'm talking about. If you missed it, well... get ready.

I’ll be uploading photos from Friday and Saturday night from Rock On The River over the next day or two, including the crowds and incredible acts who helped bring these two unforgettable days to life.

But I wanted to first start by saying how grateful I am for the opportunity to capture some of the behind the scenes moments from both days, highlighting the volunteers, committee members, techs, crews, security, vendors, and everyone working behind the scenes to get everything ready and keep things running.

These are the people who can sometimes get left out of the spotlight, but without them, none of this would happen. Sometimes it’s not about creating the “perfect picture”, it’s about capturing the moments that make these events what they are.

So, to the people behind it all, thank you. For everything you do, for everything you give, and for being a part of what makes Rock On The River what it is.
