**BIG ANNOUNCEMENT** Today I am finally making it official... This Fall was my LAST season of school photography. I am so grateful for the past 10 seasons of photographing all your kids’ smiley faces. I’m grateful to the schools, staff, teachers, and parents who invited me back year after year.
I’m especially grateful to my assistant Laurie Bare who has stood beside me for almost every season in the freezing cold, crazy winds and mostly in the shade... You should have arms of steel by now holding up my reflector, over all these years. Also for my second assistants over the years: Evie, Theresa, Cheryl, Jen, Ella, Stacey and Sherry for keeping kids in line, wiping their faces, and holding jackets, hats, scarves, etc... Hopefully, I didn’t forget anyone.
I could not have run this business successfully without the help and support of my husband Clint who has assisted, hauled my gear, packaged, and delivered prints countless times without hesitation. I could not have gotten through these years without you. And of course, my own kiddos! My original test subjects, who have also stepped up at some point to hold a reflector or package photos.
Over then next month I will be spending some down time with my family AND in my craft room. I have been painting for the past 2 years and have slowly found the courage to share my art and I have some big plans for it in 2023. If you are a little curious, I invite you to follow me on my other creative journey Dot Painting with Paula Sword where I will soon be sharing my art for sale and scheduling classes in person and online in 2023.
Once again, I am so thankful for every single person who has stepped in front of my lens. For me, photography started as a hobby. But it turned into a business that enabled me to contribute to my family financially as well as have the flexibility to spend the essential time with my kids when they needed me most.
PS. This page will be archived at the end of December 2022.
