Wrapped up the last day of June with some self portraits at home. Perfect shot? No — there’s a blown out highlight, the editing’s a little rushed, I could pick it apart if I wanted to. But I’d rather focus on what this actually was: an intentional moment of pause and self love in a season of busy and distraction. Just me, at home. Literally, but also in myself.

Because bo***ir was never about the “perfect” final image for me. It’s about reconnecting to the parts of yourself you forgot were there.

You don’t need to lose weight, “tone up,” or wait for some imaginary version of yourself before you book a bo***ir session.

The version of you that exists right now is the one I want to photograph.

EVERY DAY I talk to women who tell me they’d love to book their own bo***ir “but after I lose a bit of weight.” And dang it, it breaks my heart.

I have no feelings whatsoever about your choices to do with your body, whether it be for health or esthetics.

From someone who has lost 100lbs, I get the desire for change. Zero judgement there. What I do have feelings about is why you feel your body isn’t worthy of celebrating right now, as it is.

I know that true sustainable change comes from a place of love, not hate — and so for those of you who want to make changes, I might suggest trying to show your body some love first 🤍

Here’s what an outdoor session looks like: → Hair and makeup at my studio first → 2–3 hours at 
your location (river, forest, field — you choose) → Full posing direction — you don’t need to
