Great couple of days on site with the McElhanney (Kamloops) branch!
We had a productive shoot, wrapping up 48 team headshots and capturing some active, situational site work. It's always a pleasure to learn from a talented team in their element and document the work they do in our community and elsewhere.

Flow. Taken at dusk the city of Kamloops showcases its vibrancy under traffic flows, city lights and a fading ambient glow.

For a couple of reasons (to be unveiled soon) it was time to revisit this location overlooking Kamloops. Unbelievably, the first time was 19 years ago! At that time the pace was slower and less some of the larger urban projects we see now. Cheers!

The Kamloops cityscape continues to evolve. At the end of a regional project, I was fortunate to capture the downtown core under warm, emotive light. Recent changes including the addition of Trillium @ City Gardens and the newest expansion at RIH, along with the removal of the red bridge have reshaped the heart of the city.

Sun sets over the lush spring sage and grasslands surrounding Kamloops Lake. This area is quite close to the Balancing Rock and this gentle benchland edges toward the lake before giving way to a very steep drop off about 50 meters from the shore.

We just wrapped completion of this multi-day marketing campaign here in Kamloops with the RZH Hotel group and Dasha Borodina, CRME. The properties included the DoubleTree by Hilton and the Holiday Inn & Guest Suites.
Photography included: Doubletree - La Condesa restaurant, food/beverages, hotel lounge and conference rooms.
Holiday Inn - Day and dusk aerial/drone and ground exteriors and dog run facilities.
Special thanks to the team on site, including: Dasha, Sylvia C, Hiteshi Chouhan, MBA. 😊

After 2 years, St. Andrews on the Square restoration has been completed. They'll officially reopen next month. I was on site to highlight the incredible work by Reimagine Architecture and Planning.
Vedran Skopac, principal architect at Reimagine talked about the character defining elements: A gender-neutral washroom, an updated kitchen and better accessibility upgrades to bring the space into the modern era. “I would say the important things were preserved and restored. That mattered, They were the character-defining elements. A lot of the other things were changed like the color of the walls, the flooring, the detailing.” He said the completed project is “bittersweet” as he called the overall experience “a wonderful journey.” * quotes from CFJC Today Kamloops.

On my way back from a recent trip down south I hopped on to one of my favorite highways, 5a between Merritt and Kamloops. This time of year it's especially beautiful with the rolling hills in a full spring green jacket.

I was recently at the DoubleTree By Hilton West Edmonton and Home2 Suites by Hilton, Alberta, Canada for a multi-day marketing shoot. It involved renovated areas of both hotels, including: Over a dozen suites/rooms, conference and event rooms, a pool and weight room, aerial and ground exteriors, and more.
Cheryl Rose, thanks so much for having me back, for the gracious hospitality and for once again making my job a lot easier with your coordination and scheduling skills! Also, a big thank you to Jeanette Petriko, the Marketing Manager who matched me step for step during the long days 😊
